Love this lip gloss. Doesn’t last as long as I would like but still all in all it’s works. Keep in mind the colors look darker in the bottle than they are on the lips so you might want to add a few coats.

    • L'Oreal Needs Safety Seals

****L'Oreal needs to start putting safety seals on these lip colors. I thought this may have been a fluke but NO. I went to the store yesterday to buy some more & none of them had safety seals (across the line in lip gloss....). That's a really bad practice. I had not noticed it before until a friend pointed it out. I guess I was just too wrapped up in finding a color & you know how finding a good lip color makes you happy ;) I love all of these glosses (8 Hour, 24 Hour, leGloss) but NONE have safety seals on the color! Come on L'Oreal - Help us be safe! UPDATE 5/2015: I ordered another color, Sangria #705. Amazon is now shrink wrapping these so they are safer. I still think L'Oreal should be doing this sealing at the factory. I love this color. I wanted a color that was not quite so shimmery but not too bright - this one is perfect for me. I am brunette, brown eyes, fair skin. Also, the colors that have less shimmer are less sticky and still last most of the day. I like this 8HR gloss. It feels good, doesn't dry out my lips & the color "Cherry Flash #340 works well with my own lips' color - enhances without being too strong. It stays in place without running all over my face & lasts better than regular gloss but I've never gotten 8 hours of wear from it - more like 3 or 4 hours. I love the taste & smell; it's kind of vanilla. It is sticky but very easy to apply with the angled sponge. ... show more

I was looking for something to replace my L'Oreal Le Gloss lip gloss which has been discontinued. While not a horrible substitute, it has an unpleasant chemical smell to it. I liked the Le Gloss because it was moisturizing. This product is not AS moisturizing, but it isn't bad. This has color to it which is not really what I was looking for as I use a lip stain and the Le Gloss just provided moisture with a tint of color. I have been wearing L’Oreal lip gloss for years now. Initially it was actually recommended to me by my pharmacist at the time. I was struggling with dry lips and she suggested it over some supposedly medicinal products. This was only the second time that I purchased an 8 hour product. The first time I did not like it at all as it had a matt finish. But this I loved. It did not dry out my lips as other long lasting lip products have in the way it felt on my lips was like always except that it lasted longer. If you are considering a new lip product you will be grateful for the texture and ease of application. This lip gloss wasn’t sealed when received. It arrived in a larger box and didn’t have any tamper proof seal so it could have been used. Am returning it. I wanted to correct this review....Went to Albertson's and found that none of this lip gloss is sealed. So is an L' oreal issue, not Amazon.
