I ordered this chain in both gold and silver. I like both, although the links are smaller than I'd originally thought. Upon making this project, I also came to appreciate that the links are double-sided and not flat on one side. The chain is pretty strong and is not easily broken. It will take a pretty good pull to snap this chain although it looks thin and delicate. . Fortunately, I have the tools to cut the chain to the lengths that I want. I make so much jewelry and am always looking for something different to add to my supplies. I like that this is an entire spool of silver chain and that it has squares of colored rhinestones. I will sometimes be using this chain with the included jump rings/lobster claw closures to make necklaces for my pendants. Other times, I will snip off a portion of the chain to use to outline a pendant or to have as a 'string of color' hanging beside a pendant (using a jump ring to attach). I do like this chain for what it is, although the square rhinestone "bevels" are not as big as I imagined. The small, thin links that connect the bevels are remarkably strong. And the jump rings and smaller lobster claw clasps are a bonus. The issue that I have with it, is that the "silver" color is very dark, the photos make it look as though it is a bright silver plating, but it is a dark silver plating which dulls the colors of the small rhinestones, making them hard to see, plus not having any kind of silver backing on the rhinestones all add to the colors being lost. If you want something to look more "expensive" then you should pass on this chain. ... show more

I got this chain to have the girl scout troop make bracelets. The colors are complimentary and are loved by all the girls. I can easily make 25 children's bracelets. It is not the highest quality chain, but it holds together well and that is great for this price. All the jump rings are nice and tight. I love this chain! I make my own jewelry and it is such fun to work with something so pretty. It is a very delicate looking chain with colored crystal-like stones. There is a lot on the roll so I will be able to make a number of pieces with it. It comes with jump rings and lobster claw clasps which are my favorite as they hold so well. The chain is exactly like in the images and is solid. I haven't seen any broken or missing stones in the chain, which is really nice. It also comes with some clasps, which I overlooked and is a nice bonus.
