I bought this set after it was recommended to me. The set came extremely fast and was packaged well. The set is very nice! The colors are vibrant and had quite the selection. They have a rich smooth feel to them. It comes with a chart you can create for reference and each color comes in it's own little tray so you can remove it if you want. The single trays are also labeled as well as the box they come in so you can always put them back where they go. I will definately reorder this set in the future. ... show more

I LOVE this set. Such elegance! I got the other sets that have different covers too. Such elegant packaging. You do get more paint in a block too. I bought these especially for the packaging though. I wish the prices were a bit lower... It's a good paint, nice colors, neatly and elegantly packaged. Very Japanese. Paints are a bit sticky but watercolor qualities are there. Opaque sometimes and I like that... Most colors are earthy. Not the super vivid bright type (maybe some of the reds are), which is perfectly okay because the colors are super nice. If you’re looking for traditional, translucent watercolor paints then this set isn’t for you. If you’re looking for something new, then try these traditional Japanese paints. The pans are nice and big, so your brush doesn’t get all jammed up like in an almost-empty watercolor half-pan. The colors are nice and the paint is a little opaque.
