I picked up this winter coat recently, and it's been surprisingly solid. The windproof feature came in handy during those blustery days, and the fleece lining kept me comfortably warm without feeling like I was wrapped in a sleeping bag. The detachable hood and the sleeve cuffs with thumb holes are practical touches, and the abundance of pockets is a game-saver when you need to stash your phone, keys, and maybe even a snack. I was skeptical buying a jacket from Amazon, but when I saw this one I liked it. I bought it and when it arrived I tried it on, it was a perfect fit. It's warm enough to protect against the cold and the material is well made to protect against the rain. Overall it was a great purchase.

I'd been in need of winter jacket for awhile when I spotted this one in the color Blue Dark Grey. For the most part our winters are long and snowy but not bitter cold so I tend to rely less on heavy winter coats and more on lighter to mid weight winter jackets like this one. Considering I ordered it online instead of in-store I am quite surprised by how well it worked out for me. Based on the product chart I knew an L would likely fit me but I did decide to size up to an XL so I could fit multiple layers or a sweatshirt underneath. The fit was as expected meaning the L would have been just fine but the XL gives me that extra room that I wanted. For a jacket in this price range I am actually impressed with it. The jacket is well made with all seams nicely finished. The jacket is fully lined with a soft fuzzy material in the body and hood and a material that resembles nylon in the sleeves. All zippers, snaps, and velcro work great. There are 4 pockets, 3 on the outside and 1 inner, all of which are secured by a zipper and have lots of room in them. The detachable hood has some nice features including velcro under the chin, bungies to tighten it around the face, and my favorite part is that this is the first hood I've seen that detaches with a zipper instead of snaps/buttons. The second thing that I love about the hood is the additional protection the design gives to the face by poking out just a little bit beyond the forehead and having a reinforced rim that prevents it from just flopping down. I have not had this out in the rain yet to test waterproof-ness but I have been taking walks in the fog and it has been keeping me nice and warm and dry. Some of the other features that this jacket has are velcro to tighten the outer cuffs and a soft floppy inner cuff with a thumbhole. As I've been walking I have been using the thumbhole and letting the outer cuff slide down over my hands and so far I have not needed to wear the gloves in my pocket since my hands have stayed warm enough. As I've said, I'm pretty impressed with this jacket so far. I love the color combo that allows me to be seen while walking. And I'm pretty glad that I ordered it as I am getting even more use out of it than even I had anticipated... ... show more
