  • Awesome tool to add to the workshop
Very nice tool. Convenient. Heavy duty. Lightweight, easy to move around. Comes in handy in the workshop. Would definitely order this again.

  • The right tool for the job makes a world of difference.
Went from 1 pocket hole every 30 seconds to 3 in about ten seconds. Very worth the price. Pro - Does what it's made for quickly and well. Con - The vacuum port is rather small; you may need an adapter to connection a dust extractor. I found my vacuum was overpowered for the little port. Still, all dust was collected. ... show more

  • If you make entire kitchens on a regular basis you need this machine!
This product is awesome. Instead of taking 10 minutes to drill pocket holes on my face frames and the sides of the cabinets I can now do an entire cabinet in about 2 minutes. What use to take 2 hours (or more) to do an entire kitchen (15 or so cabinets) now takes about 15 minutes. That's a huge time saver! The only thing I don't like is how long it takes to change from 3/4" material to 1/2" (I use 1/2" plywood for my box sides and 3/4" for the face frames). Switching back and forth is kind of like taking the time to swap out a stack dado blade on the table saw. The solution to that problem only required purchasing another unit and setting one up for 3/4" and the other for 1/2". Some might think that is quite an expense but it is the same as dedicating my second table saw to the dado blade. I can now breeze through each step without stopping to change any setup saving a huge amount of time on an entire kitchen. Now, if I only had $2000.00 for a boring machine so I can get through the adjustable shelf pin holes in the same efficient manner (next purchase). One reviewer complained about the difficulty of getting the unit out of the box; not sure why he had so much trouble. I just cut the tape, folded the flaps down, turned the box upside down and lifted the box off-easy peasy. He also complained about how poorly the manual was written and how difficult the initial setup was. Again, not sure why he had so much trouble as I found the manual was quite well written and easy to follow and the setup took about 15-20 minutes. If you are just making single pieces of furniture or the occasional cabinet then this machine would definitely be overkill but if you are a production shop making 2-3 kitchens a month, this tool is indispensable and will save you huge amounts of time on payroll. At $20/hour for skilled labor, you can expect for this tool to pay for itself in 3-4 months. I cannot speak to how long it will last before I kill it from constant use but it is warranted for a year so even if I have to send it back for warranty service every year it is still a money saver. ... show more

  • Good but not perfect
This machine gets the job done. As a full time carpentry shop I can say I don't love it or hate it. I will probably upgrade to a industrial machine at some point. But nothing will replace this for on the job custom raises panel work. Dislikes 1. Machine ergonomics, the pull handle sits to far back. 2. The clamping mechanism just needs a spring on the end to accommodate slight discrepancys in milled stock. 3. I'm constantly re tighting my fence. Things I like 1. It's much faster than my original kreg jig. 2. It's quite. 3. It's a affordable machine for what it can do. 5. Kregs unbeatable customer service which keeps me buying there products. ... show more

  • So much fun to use!
This review is coming from a woman who does occasional woodwork. I'm not expert and I was getting tired of using the clamp version of the Kreg. Projects were just taking too long and my should would ache after every project making me dread the next project. I was so happy to see this machine existed because we are huge fans of pocket holes in our projects. What I love about this machine is that it literally drills the hole in seconds and you can move on to next hole immediately. It was easy to use and I had no issues with the drilling. The only negative I will give is that everything is very plastic including the handle. It is very lightweight ... I'm 5'1 and can lift it with no problem. The drill itself is heavy and that's probably what the weight is on this machine. I like it because it's light-weight but I don't know how tough it would be for long-term use and especially if you build projects all day everyday and need to abuse it. I'm still giving it a 5-star because it's made projects SO much easier. ... show more

  • A fine upgraded pocket hole machine
Had it in production in 15-20 min, totally adjustable unlike the 720Pro it place the holes too close to the face, causing almost every end grain hardwood board to split. a great upgrade to the shop for face frame production, very happy with the quality of the product!!
