Sucks up dirt and debris as advertised. No problems. I am cleaning up some termite damage on my boat and it sucked up everything as I expected. Downsides, and the reasons that I did not give it 5 stars: It is easy to assemble the vacuum after emptying it without everything being tight. You loose suction when everything is not tight. Also you can loose some suction when using the brush end. Understand that no 12 vacuum has as much suction as your home vacuum. Next. This vacuum requires a 15 amp fuse. Most 12 volt appliances require less than a 5 amp fuse, even 12 volt heaters and coffee pots. This vacuum has a higher power requirement than is considered normal for 12 volts. You really have to limit how long you use the vacuum at one time without a short break to allow for wires and connections to cool down. I.E. Use it only for a few minutes before letting it rest for a minute. ... show more

This vacuum is pretty efficient. It’s gets in the corners with the attachments and my carpet gets nice and clean when I use it. If you attach one of the brush accessories to the end of the vacuum it even gets up pet fur too.
