Coffee hot, crema, excellent flavor using Nespresso pods. Machine fast, did not encounter dripping. This is my second one. The first one shook a lot more and took a longer time in producing an Espresso shot. My comparison is to a old Breville with a frother. I am still looking for a Espresso cup that will remain on the machine without assistance while brewing. This also occur in my returned one. I will be trying Illy ese pods to see whether for my occasion use this machine is worth the bother to hold the cup on the machine for a cup of coffee. Pj ... show more

I love my espresso machine!! It’s small, about half the size of my ninja coffee maker, but it’s packed with options! I’ve only used it with the Nespresso original line pods, but it comes with multiple pod holders to accommodate different brands. It has multiple levels (7) that you can select to choose how many oz of brew you want. It even has the ability to brew room temp if you want it over ice. This machine is so easy to use and brews a great cup/ shot of espresso. It can be a bit noisy while doing so, but it’s sooo worth it. I’ve been using this every day and am so happy with it! If I had to change anything, I’d say maybe the color? Brown doesn’t really seem to go with any of my decor, but I care more about the functionality of it- and it functions great! ... show more

I bought this after my Instant Pot brewer that brewed both K-cup and Nespresso capsules bit the dust and I wanted something that brewed both again. This is a poor substitute, unfortunately. The K-cup coffee is watery and when you pull out the K-cup attachment to use the nespresso one - even after 24 hours of sitting in the machine - coffee drips everywhere. I’m also getting grounds in my cup. I do like how compact it is, and filling up the water tank is easy, but it is LOUD and shakes the whole counter when it’s brewing. Not great when others in the house are sleeping. I’ll use this for now since it’ll be a hassle to return, but I’ll probably replace it with a better brand soon. ... show more

    • Great for small spaces but cumbersome to use

This is a great machine if you're in an apartment, hotel room or want a smaller footprint appliance. However, I found that the process of brewing (Nespresso as an example) is much harder than a dedicated machine where you just pull the handle open, drop the puck and press down on the handle. Since this machine is a multi-coffee machine, you'll have to: Pull up on the handle; pull out the drawer; open the drawer; pull out and replace the pod; close the drawer lid, insert the drawer into the machine and finally pull down on the handle. This is alot of work if you have options or space for a dedicated unit! However, it does brew a nice cup of coffee or espresso! One thing I wish they would fix is the incredible vibration from the motor when brewing. It literally shakes the cup all over the drip tray and could have easily been fixed by some bushings on the motor mounts. It isn't the end of the world but something that I was a little perplexed by. ... show more

The KOTLIE Multifunctional 4in1 Espresso Machine has both strong appeal to all fans of pod based coffee brewing and some compelling features. It very much resembles the Nespresso Pixie series of machines in styling, size and general layout, with some important differences. We have been long time Nespresso users and we own a Nespresso Pixie. So I was intrigued to try this unit for a number of reasons. The number one reason is that it will brew both Nespresso pods and also brew K-Cups. Nespresso pods have always been expensive. But in recent times the price per pod has zoomed toward a dollar each. The value for money equation has been slipping for a long time. So I was interested in how well this machine would work with K-Cups. The answer is very well. K-Cups are vastly more affordable than Nespresso pods, and also deliver bigger cups of coffee. The Achilles heel of most K-Cup machines has always been sub par brewing temperatures and anemic pressure. The KOTLIE delivers on both those parameters, making one of the best K-Cups brews I have had. It also did well with Nespresso pods. The main downside to the KOTLIE vs the Nespresso machines is in pod extraction. Nespresso machines have a collection bin under the brew head that allows users to eject a used pod with a simple movement of the locking arm for the brew basket, allowing several pods to collect before the bin has to be emptied. The KOTLIE on the other hand requires you to remove the basket each time to dispose of pods one by one. That's the price you pay for multi functionality. The different pods formats each have their own removable basket. In practice it wasn't that big a deal, just a different routine. The KOTLIE has a very attractive form and the main body is sheathed in satin finish sheet metal. If I had one complaint it would be the color used for the plastic parts. The KOTLIE uses a dowdy looking chocolate brown for the plastic parts of the machine, making it look rather drab and institutional despite the sleek form and exposed metal. I would go for red, black, white, yellow, anything but brown. But, all that said. this is a capable and very attractive machine that frees you from one pod brand and type and even allows you to use ground coffee. It's versatile, makes a good cup of coffee and the price is right. We like it. ... show more
