  • The Best Flapper
This flapper works very well. It fits the standard size tank, and is made of soft rubber which works the best. The soft rubber seals better than the hard plastic flappers. This flapper hooks on better and will not break the posts in the bottom of the tank. The clip will stay on the chain and not come off when using the handle. It may look like the bottom of the flapper is bent, however that is only when it is in the package. It is soft and will go into shape when you take it out of the package. You do not have to turn off the water to put it on or take it off. I use bleach tabs and get 2 years out of each flapper. I have used many flappers over the years and this brand works the best. ... show more

  • A quick solution to most toilet slow leak problems...
There is not much variety in this type of product; it must adhere to the design constraints or it won't function. This particular one, with free shipping, was a godsend as I needed one and didn't feel like making a large order just to get free shipping. Some helpful notes: Measure the old chain's length(if it was proper, i.e. allowed some slack) and make this new one that length, plus one link extra. The proper way is to turn off the water supply, flush and then install the new one. Remove the old hook on the flush lever holding the top of the chain, quickly swap the flapper(you'll lose a little water for a few seconds), then with the new one in place, put its rubber arms into the slot and finally hook its new chain to the flush lever arm(in the same slot as before) and you will have done it without fuss. If you don't have confidence, of course, get someone to help, go online for a guide, or call the plumber for $100... Footnote: the 'machinery' of the toilet is delicate, if simple, and has to be handled with care. There's an old saying, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I would recommend caution even with something this simple. ... show more

  • Durable, substantial
I bought this over 3 years ago and thought it was time I give it a review. I'm not the best at plumbing, but I could tell right off that this would do the trick. It's heavier than the brand it replaced and no more leaks. No problems whatsoever since I installed it.

  • Works....!
I ordered this tho' I thought this might be a tad small to replace a flap which seemed a little over 2"...when it arrived, its conical part was indeed smaller than the one in place (and broken)...but after using it a couple of times and mechanically seating it after I observed some post-flush leakage...this seems to work flawlessly. God product...and universal as advertised! ... show more

  • My plumber uses these
Works great and my plumber uses this model. Have used these several times, all in different Kohler toilets, and have not had any issues. Our water is hard on rubber products but these will last at least about 8 years. I change them at about 8 years before they go bad and start wasting water. You can lose a lot of water over time with a leaky flapper and not even know it. ... show more

  • Good Seal
Our toilets were original to the house (12 years old) and they all had s bit of "dripping" from around the flapper. Replaced all 5 together. Its hard to flush at first because its such a tight seal, but after about 2 months of use, it has become much easier to flush without holding the handle down and no more dripping! ... show more

  • Korky 2001BP Universal Toilet Tanl Flapper, 2 LAVELLE INDUSTRIES
This Flapper works better than other flapper I have ever used. Because it fits tight and very flexible. You get a Flapper that has hard plastic prongs on the sides, and it wants to stick and not go all the way down to fit tight. It will sometimes leave a small gap for the water to seep out. That's why I USE A FLEXABLE FLAPPER. James North ... show more

  • keeps my toilets from slowly leaking water and then periodically making water filling noise.
i replaced the flapper in all three toilets in my house with korky universal flappers. they seem to do a good job and they're really cheap. afaik the toilets in my house as american standard brand. they work as far as making my toilets not wake me up in the middle of the night.
