  • Very unique and improves my keying
I was on the fence about going to an ortholinear keypad, but this changed my mind. I'm using it for Destiny 2 play and it a measurable difference for me. I don't care for it for regular typing, but for gaming inputs, it is literally a game changer. The switches are lighter than my preferred Razer Greens, but still tactile and clicky. The key angles are fairly normal and it is comfortable to use. No wrist rest required. Coloration with their tool is not as fancy as I hoped, but it does do a nice color cycle. Missing is a starlight effect which I would like very much. I might try to write a new driver for it to get the coloration I want. The keystroke assign function is a big part of why I like it - I've moved several key assignments around using their driver and this is a big help for me with the game setting. Overall, I recommend this if you are struggling with inputs and want to get a more natural linear sweep for your fingers. ... show more

  • Worked better n expected! Luv it!
Worked better n I expected.. Great for gaming! I have had 3 different one hand gaming keyboards trying to replace my old Zboard. This thing works as advertised. I opened it and plugged into computer and it worked out of box preset with keys that were on it. I downloaded program and it was easy to use. Instructions for use of software was simple. I didn't need fancy macros I just wanted to remap keys for wasd movement and attack/abilities for gaming with WoW classic and EVE. It came with a complete set of keyboard buttons and I swapped out buttons to match my remapping. I set color scheme and clicked upload. And boom! Done! Keyboard feels great, solid, works perfect. I am very happy with this product. This Chinese (I assume) company has all their ducks in a row on this keyboard. I believe it would work for shortcuts for excel work, cad drafting work, or audio video editing work. English instructions were well written. After download of program I unzipped and installed in a folder on desktop, opened clicked open amag.eu for English, clicked amag.exe program opened and was self explanatory. Clicked connect and it showed the preloaded program, I saved and uploaded. Set colors. Finished. ... show more

  • 2 bad eggs in a row - don't waste your money on this trash
When I first got this, I was thinking it was going to speed up my productivity a fair bit, especially with all the copy paste and use of special characters like ÷ or ≈ that I have. Getting the key mapping and macros set up for these was easy enough to do. After a few hours, I wanted to make an adjustment to replace something I didn't like (on my end, such as replacing control+Y with control+S instead). No problems there. I like the brightness of the LEDs and the rich color quality that they have. When set up, it's easy to use. After 2 days, however, it went haywire. I press the button associated with control+K to clear my selection in my image editing program and, strangely, it's only as if I pressed shift+S instead, for sheer mode, and the image also moved to the right by one, as from pressing the right arrow key. Somehow, the firmware got changed. Disconnecting, waiting a few seconds, then reconnecting it fixed it, oddly. About 2 more days later, I wanted to make another adjustment. Communication error. I tried several times. Communication error. I disconnected the USB cable, waited a few seconds, reconnected it, then tried again. Communication error. I tried another disconnect and reconnect, doing both ends this time. Communication error. I tried using device manager to update the driver. No update available and it's coming from Microsoft as there is no driver download from the manufacturer. So, thinking the driver may have been corrupt, I uninstalled all 3 keyboard instances that show up (even though I only have 2 keyboards, disconnected both keyboards, restarted my computer, reconnected the keyboards, my main one first. I see one keyboard showing up. Connect this macro keyboard and I now see 3 keyboards showing up. 3? There's only supposed to be 2! So, I tried making that change again. It worked this time and I was able to do it. Then, about 2 more days later, it wouldn't do anything, at all. Press the button I have assigned to the ÷ symbol (hold alt and, on the numpad only, type 0, 2, 4, then 7 in that order, then release alt (the number is after the ASCII position); the numbers above the letters cannot be used) and nothing happened. Repeat on my normal keyboard doing the holding alt method and it works just fine. It's not a program limitation, it's this macro keyboard. After another system restart, I was able to get it to communicate again so I can make the adjustment. 2 days later, it stopped responding again where pressing the buttons didn't work, doing absolutely nothing. 3 strikes, I got with Amazon to return it and got a replacement. Amazon did very well with that. I got the replacement, got the key mapping redone, and better than I had before, and everything was fine. I go to bed, turning off my computer as usual, then I wake up... to find that the keyboard's colors are not set right. I originally had it on rainbow, option 2, but it somehow got changed to option 3 from simply turning my computer off then back on again. I got that fixed, but the replacement was behaving weird. I would randomly see it doing what it does when you disconnect then reconnect the device, with the white light flashing where the third from the left key at the top row is, then going into the color pattern cycle as it's supposed to do. After about 4 hours of normal use, I saw that the color pattern somehow changed. Green and magenta got added in when I never set those colors. I went into the AMAG program to try to correct this. Communication error! I tried the usual disconnect/reconnect and that, by itself, fixed the colors where it was behaving like I expected. But, just trying to do a connect to it to see if it's even working right, surprise! Communication error! It would absolutely not communicate with the software whatsoever. I tried disconnecting it then try connecting, but I get a different error stating that the device is not found, of which I'd expect. I reconnect the USB and try to connect with the software. Communication error! I tried switching to a different USB port, a direct connection on the motherboard. Communication error! I've run out of ideas on what I can do on my end to fix this. I tried clicking "update" and the program would just go into an infinite loop (100% CPU usage on one core) and stop responding, but only when I'm on the "custom macro" tab. Even a half hour later, it's still stuck on that. The other tabs just show an error. Normally, a bad egg is about a 1 in 300 chance, but 2 bad eggs in a row is a 4 sigma anomaly, a massive statistical outlier. The quality control at the factory seems to be poor to nonexistent for this product. This product is a waste of resources. This is under Windows 10 Pro with 192 GB of RAM, a 32-core processor, a GeForce 2080 Ti... it's definitely not my computer, it's this piece of trash keyboard with defective firmware that's at fault. Do not buy. There are better options out there and I'm starting to look into them instead. The 2 screenshots are of the communication error I keep getting when I click on "connect" in AMAG, and also device manager for the driver tab. There are no updated drivers, even though it's 15 years old. ... show more
