  • Love it for Gaming
I use this for DCS World. The ability to program a custom keypad for major commands and views has been great and is a lot less fiddly than other solutions. The keyboard works flawlessly and I've been extremely happy with it. It's had daily use for a three months or so now and it's really solid.

  • Nice macro keyboard
Working at home, I wanted to set up a number of macro keys on my keyboard. This has proven to be perfect. I had to download a custom key file to get the extra function keys (F13-19) to be available, but after digging through the comments it was reasonably clear. The included software works on on my mac, and allowed me to set up the function keys. I wish I had this when I was doing a lot more photoshop-- it would have been great. ... show more

  • Keyboard & it's operation is awesome... software could use some work.
This thing stores it's macros within the device's firmware, so once you get it operating you can plug it to any PC / OS. It's the 'getting it operating' that's the tricky part. The Windows-only app (which you need to d/l yourself) is kind of weird in that you don't 'install' it like most Windows apps. You simply extract it to a folder, then you look for the "AMAG_EN.exe" file in the /AMAG_EN folder and run it. Add. hint... Don't delete the folder that appears to be the Chinese language version of software. If you do, the app won't run. The app is not very intuitive. The PDF manual (separate d/l) is only slightly helpful. Still working on figuring it out completely. As near as I can tell, the 'Save' function is saving the configuration from the keyboard's memory (after you've uploaded it) rather than from the app itself, which seems a little odd to me. ... show more

  • Split 40% Alternative
Two of the 23 key boards with a usb hub make a pretty inexpensive alternative to a split 40% like the Split Planck or Let’s Split keyboard. The only issue with this solution over a pair of boards built for the purpose is that each side needs function modifiers in this setup. The boards are a great value! The key caps are not great, but I didn’t expect much better at this price. At least there are a lot of them! ... show more

  • Will NOT work on a Mac!
This will not work with a Mac. Period. This is the response I got from Kastonecorp: "Hello, can you configure the keyboard on the Windows system? After saving the settings, connect it to your Mac to use. The software is not compatible with the Apple system very well. Sorry for the inconvenience." One Star--not because it will not work with MacOS, but because they wasted my time and money by not saying so on the front end. They should just say it doesn't work with MacOS and be done with it. I jumped through all the hoops they wanted me to do in Terminal in a "readme" file that came with the download package. They didn't even say anything about any of that in any documentation or info on the order page. Made me nervous about all the under-the-hood changes that were being done. So far doesn't seem to have caused any problems. Very frustrated. Will continue to look for a solution that will work with MacOS. Bottom line: The WILL NOT work with MacOS! ... show more

  • For editors a great addition!
Great little addition to my pc setup. Was able to print and tape little icons on the buttons so it would be simpler for editing video and photos. One of my favorite things I purchased this year.

  • Confusing software, NOT plug and play.
The software download doesn't place any kind of app icon on your desktop. It will prompt you to load Adobe Air which didn't work for me. I finally figured to run the .exe file that downloaded as an administrator, which worked but then the program had a communication error to the keypad. That was before I restarted the computer and then running as administrator didn't work and was back to saying Adobe Air wasn't loaded on my computer, but it was. What a mess. Advertised as Plug and Play, but is not. I returned it. I gave two stars because of all the extra buttons included and the otherwise great packaging and things included. ... show more

  • Meh, I want to like it but it's not 100% customizable
First off, only the main letter keys and number pad keys are in this kit. There's no Tab, Shift, Alt, Enter, etc. It's basically the same gaming section of the keyboard that others sells with the false impression that the keys can be moved around. See the attached picture: The keys are made so it's ergonomic (I guess) so if you want to truly customize a layout other than a standard qwerty keyboard, you're going to have uneven keys. Also, with this layout, you're stuck with that one wide key and the only keypad is the 0/Ins Key. I may just put them back and make my own labels but then it defeats the purpose. I also don't care for the font they used for the letters and numbers. They looked like someone stenciled comic sans. The white blank keys are setup the same way so it'll take some time to find the right key to make the keyboard smooth and flow with the rest of the keys. The software was straight forward but I couldn't get the colors to change from blue. Instead, one of the top keys turned white and now it's white and the rest are blue (I tried to go to red). I can dim the keys but they won't change color for me. Not a big deal, really. I game in the dark and CAD hotkeys in the daytime are just a distraction if lit up. I also got used to a soft touch keyboard so the mechanical type seems to hesitate to me, besides make a ton of clak clak clak noise. On a headset/speech type game this will probably drive your team mates crazy. I'll try it out for a bit but I might end up trying something else. I mainly got this because it's 2020 and we still have PC games that have certain action keys that can't be remapped and are all over the keyboard. ... show more
