This water bottle arrived last night. After seeing some pretty bad video reviews, my daughter and I decided to test it immediately. No leaks at all. So far, it is 100% water tight. Neither of us could pull the top off with the carrying ring. We determined that the carrying ring would break before the top would pop off from the bottle. Otherwise, it's a standard stainless steel water bottle with a plastic lid. The black finish looks nice, I like the screw-sip cap. The removable base-bumper is nice, too. I got this for my daughter, and our initial initial impression is very good. I was definitely concerned about the negative reviews, but so far, so good. I don't know if we got lucky, or if the negative reviewers just happened to get lemons. I will update this review if we start having problems with the water bottle. 10/7/23 -This morning, I noticed the carry-handle pin was working its way out. At the time I noticed it, there was actually about 1/8 of an inch sticking out. I didn't think to take a picture for an updated review until right after I started pushing it back. In other words, it was worse than these pictures indicate. My daughter had been using this for exactly 4 days when I noticed this. Today would be the fifth. This water bottle pretty much sits in a near-perfect fitting side pocket of her backpack unless she is drinking from it. That, and we wash it every day after school. I think any reasonable person would call that normal use. That's awfully soon to be coming apart. There are still no leaks, and the top still stays on securely. I am always a little baffled by the trendy water bottle brands. I don't think that the super-expensive brands are likely to be that much better than the ones that cost half as much. We have five cups from this brand now (four insulated chug bottles and one cup with a handle). I really like all of them. Chug lids are the best for school kids because the straws and complicated parts just provide hiding places for mold. My kids manage these easily. This one is pretty heavy when it's full, but I think that will be true of any metal bottle. The colors are great - nice variety of options and very attractive. I also really like the little sleeve for the base to keep it looking newer longer. I filled it up with ice and water the other evening and still found ice in it the next morning. It keeps drinks cold. We will probably end up with more of these as the kids graduate to larger bottles. I would recommend. ... show more

Update: seller informed me that reason for me receiving two different products was because one version was updated. They had me order a separate updated lid from their store and refunded me which meant they replaced the old lid free of charge. So I would consider that good customer service. I ordered 2 bottles of the 16oz size in different colors and the silicone ring in one of them (royal blue, see pics) did not have a pull-tab to facilitate easy cleaning. The other minor difference is the dimensions were different with the royal blue being taller (I have not actually measured amounts of fluid to see if capacity is indeed the same or not). Overall still performs like an insulated bottle should and the silicone ring missing the tab was not enough to make me return but I messaged company to see if I can get a tabbed ring and have not heard back (been 2 days). ... show more

I ordered this water bottle for my son for back to school. It was important to me to find a water bottle that had a good color, that had a wide enough opening to easily fill with ice and water, that it would keep beverages cold throughout the day, that it fit in the water bottle pocket of his backpack and in the cup holder in the car, that the lid was EASY TO CLEAN and easy to open/close (as well as leak-free, and that the whole darn thing could be washed in the dishwasher.
