This worked perfect for our almost 2yr.old...size 2-3. He is in the 98%for his age, wears 3-4T. Weighs 33lbs., 36 inches tall, not chubby but sturdy thick kid. This fit perfectly and comfortably snug to keep him warm. Legs came down to just above knee, fitted but not"tight". Velcro gives you some leaway for length to adjust inch or two. Fit nice around his middle to keep him warm. ..I thought it would be difficult to get on and off, (I ordered some front zip versions that didn't fit right-too short in rise or then too big to work properly)but this wetsuit slid up like a glove and peeled off just as easy, no fuss. Neoprene nice thickness 2mm for sure and he never complained about it scratching or bothering him anywhere, wore it for several hours. Great suit. ...too bad these munchkins grow so fast, but he'll be able to wear it for a while I think. No strong odor either, seems to be high quality neoprene. No sleeves gave him full range of motion and easy to add his water wings. ... show more

    • Super easy to get on and off but not much warmth
This is super easy to get on and off even when wet and my little one can swim and walk in it with ease. The trade off is that it's not very warm so she still gets cold. It does however make the cold water more tolerable and I don't have to worry about her overheating in the hot desert sun. Has held up so far to multiple washings. ... show more

I ordered this for a camping trip two weeks before my trip. It was supposed to get here five days before I left, but shipping was so delayed it got here after we were already gone. I haven't been able to try it out on him in cold water, and I don't know that it will come up again before he outgrows it, but I didn't want to deal with sending it back just in case. I tried it on him and let him play in his balcony pool. After almost two hours splashing with it on, his body and swim diaper were dry underneath. I imagine it would have worked if I had it with me while camping lakeside... and I wouldn't have had to spend 50% of my vacation time pulling him out of the water every 5-10 minutes to keep him from freezing to death. ... show more

Our 4-year-old daughter is average in height (39"), but pretty slim (31 lbs) and is in the 2-3 yo size with room to grow. I wish it were slightly more snug, but likely will be soon! My only problem was the obscene amount of packaging. Since I originally ordered the 4-5 size and reordered this one, I know the packaging was not a fluke. It was in a crazy huge box filled with a lot of paper. This little suit could easily fit in a smaller padded envelope or a much smaller box at least. ... show more

    • Small issue, nice overall.
Very nice material, and the 2-3 fits really well on my small 3 year old. Only issue I found (with one use) is that the Velcro isn’t sewn on very securely around the edges, which is a big deal because this Velcro they have on here could hold up a car. I have to grip it just the right way so it doesn’t just tear the stitching. Otherwise really nice! ... show more

My 5 year old son wears a size 6 in clothing, and we initially ordered the 6-7. We reconsidered, and ordered a size 4-5 instead. It fits perfect. He said it keeps him warm in the pool during his lessons. My 7 year old daughter wears a size 7 in clothing, and we ordered a 6-7 wetsuit for her. From the top, it fits great because the velcro can adjust. The leg part doesn't fit perfectly snug, but its not a big deal, because it's also not too lose. It keeps the lesson kids warm and gives them a bit of confidence as it allows them to float so much easier - so much better than those stupid puddle jumper things!!! just love this!
