  • Real good kit for the value
For the price this is an amazing kit, very complete and everything looks to be functional for a roadside emergency. Package isn’t packed to the brim so I bought a performance tool socket set to add in there for $13.50 off Amazon. I feel not at all worried about a breakdown now.

  • vary awesome quality includes so many things.
The media could not be loaded. Having one of these is a must with me. I travel a lot and decided to order this after my uncle convinced me I needed one given how many trips I make. So, I am super happy with this roadside kit. I'm really impressed with the over all quality and it's really a great value too. This kit comes with every thing I could ever need in an emergency weather it be an accident, storm, or even if I broke down some wheres. This has everything thing from the actual jumper cables to so many much needed tools wrenches even comes with a emergency vest , glow ticks and so much more. The quality and quantity of what this kit comes with is what impresses me the most. There is also the fact that what this comes with is definitely high quality and not cheaply made to any degree at all which highly impresses me and gives me so much more confidence in my many travels. I definitely am really happy with this and i'm glad I listened to my uncle and ordered it. I feel so much more secure and even more safer with this kit in my trunk all nicely packed and well portioned with the tools and such. No more anxiety should I have a problem the bag with every thing in it that i could possibly need is right conveniently in my trunk. Oh also this included a few (paper) incident report forms as well because those are great to have just in case I need to make record of what happens. great quality, awesome contents. ... show more

  • A Great Road Emergency Kit For Almost Any Situation
A very complete light weight road emergency kit in a nice quality bag. The tools included aren't professional grade but should do the job and would come in handy as most people don't have a tool kit with them in the automobile. A multi-purpose tool on a key chain similar to a Swiss Army knife is also included. The kit has a reflective vest, flashlight that doesn't need batteries, break down triangle and glow sticks in case the breakdown occurs at night. There is a whistle, gloves and rain poncho included too. If you come across an accident there is a seat belt cutter, glass breaking tool, tow strap good for the weight of almost any vehicle and an emergency blanket. The kit also includes 8 foot long 8 gauge jumper cables and two bungee cords. There is some PVC tape similar to electrical tape. I will probably add a roll of duct tape to this kit to cover holes in air hoses, ducts, etc. And on top of all that there is a nice first aid kit to handle small cuts, abrasions and bug stings and all of this comes neatly packed in a good gym bag style tote with handles for easy access and compact storage. I compared this kit to the more popular AAA kit and decided to go with this one because there were almost 3 times as many useful items for less than double the price and previous reviewers rated this kit higher. After receiving it I know it was the right decision. ... show more

  • Emergency Kit on a Budget
I did a fair amount of research and comparing various auto emergency kits before settling on this one. In short, it had the widest variety of items, including ones I specifically wanted, and the best reviews for the lowest price. That being said, none of these items are going to blow you away as far as quality. I haven't had the opportunity to use them in a real life scenario yet (thankfully), but here are my observations so far: Bag - Although it is not brightly colored itself, I love that it has a reflective strip and is clearly labeled "Roadside Emergency Kit." Otherwise, I probably would have been adding reflective tape to it myself. It is large enough to easily fit all the items with room to spare; however, there is not as much room left over to add additional items as some of the reviews led me to believe. Flashlight - I specifically wanted one that was hand-crank, and this was one of few kits that had it. I carry a mini-mag ( Maglite Mini PRO LED 2-Cell AA Flashlight with Holster Black ) in my car already, so I wanted something as back up in case the batteries in my mag go dead. Also, living in the Southwest USA, there is always the possibly of batteries leaking in the heat, which I wanted to avoid for something that will be in my trunk 24/7. Glowsticks - The kit comes with two of them in separate packages. I can't speak to how long they last without breaking one open, but they are 6" size and green colored. Safety Vest - The first thing I had to do upon taking out the vest was cut off some loose strings, which tells you something about the fabric and stitching. It is a "one size fits all," and I could easily fit two of me it in. It's great if you are a big guy, but less so if you are a petite girl. Still, either way, it will do its job of making you easier to see on the side of the road. Warning Triangle - Stands at 1 ft. from ground to tip. It sits upright fine on its own, but I doubt it will hold up well in windy conditions. Both sides fold down to form a single, compact stick to pack. Jumper Cables - 8 ft. long. I couldn't find anywhere on them that said the gauge. Attached to them is an instruction cheat-sheet. Tire Pressure Gauge - For me, this was a must, and I was surprised how many kits did not contain one. Worked well enough when I tested it. Tow Rope - About 9 1/2 ft. long. I didn't find anything that said how much weight it can hold, but as I've already thrown away the bag it was in, I cannot say for certain it wasn't mentioned on there. Bungee Cords - Two of them, each 2 1/2 ft. long when not being stretched. I was able to pull them to about 4 1/2 ft. without difficulty. Cable Ties - 15 of them, each a foot long. PVC Tape - 0.13mm X 3/4in X 10Y Seatbelt Cutter / Window Breaker - The plastic is pretty cheap, but seems like it will do the job. Tools - This was another item that this kit contained that a lot of other ones did not, or at least didn't include to the same degree. It has an adjustable wrench, a variety of screwdrivers, pliers, a box cutter, and a keychain size multitool. However, I am not a big tool person, and even I can tell that these are pretty cheaply made. They will work in a pinch, which is what an emergency kit is for, but may be something I replace with a better set in the future. First Aid "Kit" - Otherwise known as a plastic bag with bandages, Q-tips, and alcohol wipes. This left something to be desired for me. If you want something for more than minor cuts, you are going to want to get something more substantial. Personally, I already had a first aid kit in my car, and I simply took the items from this and added them to that. Emergency Whistle - Again, cheaply made, but it will work in a pinch. Gloves - Rubber on the fingers and palms; cloth on the back and around the wrists. They are big on me, but they wouldn't fall off either. Poncho - I haven't taken it out of its bag for fear of not being able to get it back in, but the bag says it is 50" x 80". It's also bright orange, which is good for visibly in the rainy conditions when it would be used. Emergency Blanket - Once again, I haven't taken it out of its bag for fear I wouldn't be able to fold it nicely enough to fit it back in, but it gives me peace of mind to know that it's there. Accident Report Form - Not a bad thing to have in the event of an accident to make sure you get all the information you need. I can speak from experience that after an accident, you may not be in a state of mind to remember on your own. In summery, if you are wanting a kit with high-quality items across the board, make your own. However, for the price, this is about as good as it comes from what I've seen. I have added a set of LED Road Flares ( LED Road Flares OMEGAWARE | Emergency Roadside Safety Disc Marine Flashing Light Beacon for Car Truck Boat with Storage Bag and Batteries | RED ( Pack of 3 ) ), a roll of brightly colored Ducktape, and intend to get a couple bright bandannas as well. It's a bit of a tight squeeze to get them all in the bag, but it does fit. In the event that I need some of these items (which I hope never happens, but will likely sooner or later), I will update. All in all, however, I am happy with it. ... show more

  • Very Handy!
Funny story actually! A few days before christmas, I was leaving from work when my car wouldn't start. I start flipping out and going crazy because I thought something was seriously wrong with my car. Thankfully my parents and older brother came to the rescue and I was able to drive myself home. After my older brother realized I never got a car emergency kit after i had my car for at least two years, he gave me an amazon gift card for christmas. I used it to get myself the emergency kit. Last night, I was helping my boyfriend learn how to drive when we pulled up to our apartment complex and got out the car. I did not know my lights were on until about 2 hours later when my dad told me he was coming over to drop some stuff off for me. When my dad called me to tell me he was outside, I looked out the window and saw that my headlights were still on. I never turned them off and we had been inside for at least two hours! Thankfully, the kit includes jumper cables that I had to use to jumpstart my car! ... show more
