I had a 100 light blacklight flashlight but it broke. I bought many of the more expensive and specialized versions. They are very nice, but tonight I found out that I like the wide splash of this blacklight because I find it easier to see a scorpion on the edge of the lighted area. I am not a fan of having to use 6 AAA batteries. I guys that is where the savings are I'm glad I only use this a couple times a week for a few months or if the year. It also lights up the whole bathroom which can be either very good or very scary 🥴 If you don't mind paying for batteries, then I don't think you can go wrong with this blacklight flashlight. ... show more

We have three dogs and a cat, and even though everyone is (theoretically) potty trained, we rarely get through a week without some kind of mess. Often, it's hard to track down the source of a suspicious odor, and I originally started looking for a black light flashlight to help with those searches. After reading the reviews for some of the most popular and least expensive black lights on Amazon, my impression was that many were underpowered. I wanted to be able to shine a light into a room and cover ground efficiently, not crawl around on the floor with a tiny flashlight that could only illuminate a few square inches at a time. That's the main reason I opted for the KOBRA. Although we don't plan to use the KOBRA outside the house, I like the fact that it's ruggedly built. Having grown up in an era when people used flashlights all the time (before flashlights were built into our cellphones!) I know the difference between a cheap flimsy flashlight and one that's built to last, and I'm glad I paid a few extra dollars for the latter. ... show more

I'm not going to lie when I heard you could use these lights to find tomato hornworms, I was a little skeptical. But when you get tomato plants wiped out by those little pests, you are willing to try anything. Before I had any signs of them, I took this light out after dark, and from about 15ft away could see a pretty small hornworm about 1.5in long glowing like a night light on the plant, you couldn't miss it. I even started to look forward to having more hornworms on my plants just so I could go out and see them glow(maybe a little exaggeration but secretly I did want to see one light up every now and then). If you grow tomatoes any have ever had a tomato hornworm eat up your plant, you should invest in this. ... show more
