  • Better than expected
Color: Coyote Sand
I'm 6'4", 350lbs and it (surprisingly) works well for me. See pics. It feels rugged enough, I blew it up in 8 strong breaths, and rolled it up easily on the first try putting it back in the carrying sack. On another note, my 5'5 160lbs girlfriend (see pics) fit better yet her hips touched through it while mine did not and we're both side sleepers. I'm guessing all my extra weight pushed the air from my upper half to my hips and provided more cushion. Works for me! I'm choosing it for a 2 week hike after painfully sleeping on the ground. ... show more

  • Caution, does not stay inflated
Color: Coyote Sand
We bought 4 of these for our children as birthday presents for camping this year. On the first trip, two of them stopped holding air by the end of the second night, and the kids sleep on the floor. On the second trip the other two stopped holding air. We checked when we got home. All 4 are leaking from the nozzle. Basically, we threw away 120+ dollars on these poor quality air pads and the kids slept on floor. ... show more

  • Garbage!
Color: Coyote Sand
This thing is complete garbage, every since I bought this thing, it has done nothing but slowly leak. It will not even make it an 2 hours with someone laying on it before it declares and you end up on the floor. I have tried many times to look for the leak but I can’t find it. The quality controls of this company is complete trash obviously. I will never buy from them again. ... show more

  • inflated just fine when I took it out to make sure it ...
Color: Camo
Bought this in December, inflated just fine when I took it out to make sure it didn’t leak. But this past weekend I finally actually took it camping, and the darn thing won’t hold air for more than 5 minutes. I have no idea where it can be leaking from. And to top it off, I missed the return deadline by a couple days. If you buy, definitely sleep on it overnight, and test it right away to make sure it’s not defective. ... show more

  • Too Many Problems ... AMAZING product support ... but ....
Color: Coyote Sand
LATEST Revision - too many problems. Again, despite extremely careful use, I have gotten 2 tiny leaks (deflation in 3 hours or so) and now, after sealing those leaks I have a valve leak. The valve, admittedly so easy to use, is EXTREMELY difficult to close and to be sure is not leaking. It takes almost pliers to turn it closed now and then it still leaks if I don't get it exactly right, which I cannot tell w/o immersing (every night???) in water to tell if it is leaking. REVISED Review (9/16/2018): I still am VERY leery of backpacking air mattresses because of my experience with failures. A back-country failure can be unfixable and likely lead to very bad outcomes. BUT ... if you insist on buying a backpacking type air mattress, this is THE one. It is I think the lightest, least noisy, best warranted mattress. I have had mine for 3 years (50 nights?) and it developed 2 separate pinpoint leaks this year (nearly froze the first time). Then it developed a 3rd leak I could not find/fix month ago. I sent it back and got a BRAND NEW mattress from the company, no questions asked! Pretty amazing product support. .......................... initial reviews ...................... NOT RELIABLE: Pretty durable but even with the extremely careful use I have made of this pad, I only got some 2 years of use (50-60 days?) before it developed a tiny leak when I happened to be out in sub-freezing weather. I thought, with flattened pad at 11PM and 8 hours before sunrise, that I might actually get hypothermia! I did manage to re-inflate and did OK with continuing slow leak. About 15 nights later ... another slow leak but not total deflation. Easy fixes (and can be done in the field with repair kit IF you can locate the leak!) but disconcerting - this is NOT that tough and durable. The pictures for it show a woman sitting on rocky ground w/o any protection under the pad. NOT HAPPENING! That's a ridiculous concept and asking for instant trouble. I cannot believe the pad leaked because I have been religiously careful not to contact it with anything but the floor of my (clean) tent. NO INSULATION: is no good for temps under low 30s. HARD: as soon as you sit up or otherwise press down on it in a limited area, there is ZERO cushioning, unlike with non-air-mattress type pads. That is inherent in air mattresses w/o any foam inside. ... show more

  • Passed the dog-nail test! Very pleased with this item!
Color: Coyote Sand
Have had this for about a year now, I use it quite frequently and there is still no hole in it!! I've laid outside in the woods in leaves and twigs on this and it handled great. I've also had two dogs (70 and 110 pounds) stomping around on it in my tent and although I anxiously wait to hear the sounds of air leaking from a dog-nail puncture, this product takes the puppy paws like a champ. So far. Blows up quickly and holds the air all night. I wouldn't say it's the most comfortable outdoor-sleeping platform on the market but it compares to the similar name brand sleeping pads that cost two or three times more. For the price, this product has exceeded my expectations and I am very satisfied with this purchase. Save yourself some cash to put towards a trip that you can use this sleeping pad on! ... show more

  • Not for me
Color: Coyote Sand
Ok, I've used this 3 times now, and I just don't get it. I'm a 5'5" 180lb woman for reference. Maybe I'm too used to the luxe life. I dunno, but I just can't get comfortable. First off its very narrow. It's pretty short too. Then I tried inflating it to different levels so I could make it softer, but then you feel the ground when you move or its very firm. It's COLD. I was camping in the summer in Missouri but sleeping on a pad full of air just sucks the heat out of me or something. I got very little sleep on either campout. My husband even rolled over onto it and commented how terribly uncomfortable it was. I've never been fond of any air mattresses, and I don't expect to be on the lap of luxury when camping, but dang. With all the reviews I was expecting so much better. Maybe the other options are so much worse. Anyways, after 3 failed attempts I bought a hammock, and though I have yet to actually sleep in one (it seems a tad tricky), based on how comfortable it was to just hang out in for hours dozing I think I'm just going to have to be a hammock scout mom going forward. ... show more
