I just ordered these again, and realized I never wrote a review for the first order. Unfortunately, due to an illness, my hair started to thin. It was always falling in my face so I started wearing it in a ponytail or top knot every day. But every time I saw ripped out hair in my regular ponytail holder, I wanted to cry. These do not pull out, tear, or damage my hair. (I’ve maybe pulled out 6 hairs in a year.) A bonus: if I use them on my wet hair or just dried, still warm hair, they don’t leave a mark where the band was. I like that the shape of the holder gives an option for a bit of lift the ponytail if you want it. The bands do stretch out a bit when in use. What I did to make them last longer is—after removing at the end of the day—I pushed them back together like you would a spring. (It’ll make sense if you’re looking at one.) They would go back to their original shape and tightness for at least another couple of weeks. I bought a pack of four 11 months ago and I’m just now breaking out the last one. It holds my hair OK but I like the ones I can fit around my wrist so I always have one handy. These are like the size of a half dollar when not stretched out, so they're obviously not wrist size. They stretch out enough, but it's not as comfortable.
