Quiet running unit. I really like that the flex beaters do a thorough mixing on the bottom and sides. A nice alternative for smaller jobs where the big guns aren't required.

I don’t bake a lot, so I don’t need a big standup mixer. However, my KitchenAid mixer that was 30 years old finally gave up on me. So I upgraded to this new one. It’s heavier than my old one, but works just as well. I do love the new flex edge beaters because they do a great job of scraping the sides of the bowl for me. Well designed hand mixer, with many improvements making it easy and convenient to use. It's designed for light whipping and mixing. It is not recommended for heavier mixing jobs. It only has power of less than 100 watts.

I had my previous Black & Decker handmixer for less than a year, and it pooped out on me. I have used this new hand mixer from KitchenAid once, and can tell the difference. I mean that the hand mixer (with flex beaters) really made short work of the ingredients that I was creaming, somehow I felt like I had better control of the handmixer somehow. I also felt that the power needed was just right for the setting I needed.. I have a KitchenAid stand mixer too, and expected the results to be the same… High-quality. Hopefully it continues to give me the same kind of control using it for different things. I’m keeping my fingers crossed… But it feels like this quality made handmixer will last me a while. ... show more
