I got this to help with the mixing in the kitchen. Although I do most of the cooking, my wife loves it cause purple is her favorite color. This mixer is perfect for our cooking needs and so far has worked like a champ. We have yet to really push, however, we've used it to make cookies, some bread mix and brownies and it's done the job. A side benefit for us is that my 11-year-old son, whom I couldn't get near the kitchen, saw how easily this would mix brownie mix or cookie dough and he is now aspiring to be a desert chef. The price is great. Mixes well and easy to clean. The attachments go on easy and come off easy. The bowl size is perfect for a cake or batch of cookies. It stays in place while mixing. My only complaint is that it is loud. The material is great quality and looks great on the counter.

I am impressed with the new mixer. This was to replace a 20 year old kitchen aid mixer. It has all the power of my old mixer and is much more user friendly due to the light weight. Suction cups on the base of the mixer holds it securely in place.

This is replacing my commercial Kitchen Aide that I've had for over 30 years. Its made a lot of cookies etc over the years, but with just two of us, I'm giving it to someone else that needs it. I purchased the Kitchen in a Box as I can pick it up with 1 hand and it has all the features I'm used to, I "love" the idea of a snap on guard lid so batter doesn't splatter. I've fought my old one and after all these years never could get it stay on right. So, this is a HUGE plus for me. I can fit in under my cabinet, in my cabinet, and have all the same beaters that I'm used to! All this and I haven't even plugged it in yet! I will add to my review when I make something. Oh I'm anxious to "toss" A salad with this one. My old one would have made it pulp, but it served my needs well as I'm sure this one will. More to come. UPDATE: I have to brag some more about my red mixer! I fixed my salad and I put the lettuce, organic baby spinach, red kidney beans, black olives, carrots, turnips, raddishes, red bell peppers, shredded cheese and turned the mixer on low. This is the part where I forgot my fitted lid on the mixer and after I cleaned up my mess, put lid on, it gently mixed the salad like a champ. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this mixer. It gentle enough in low to stir salad and store in the plastic bowl until its gone, but it will no doubt in my mind plow through 4 cups of flour into 2 cups of different oils, plus 2 cups of different kind of sugars for my Christmas cookies. I haven't been this excited over an appliance in years. I hurt my wrist and i could still pick the mixer with all attachments, with my non-dominant hand and put inside the cabinet. If that's not a homemakers best friend, I don't know what is!!! ... show more

I love the color I chose. A purple/plum. It comes with two bowls which lock in place. The base has suction so it won't move easily. The attachments are the beater, whisk and dough hook and there is a spatula you can use. The attachments lock in place by pushing up on a spring and rotating to lock. Very secure. I had bought a cheaper mixer that was a Black and Decker for $50 and it was made cheap for sure. I splurged and spent more and it is definitely worth the extra money plus I had a gift card I used. I did a video on youtube but the review wouldn't let me post it here. There are several videos on youtube though which is why I decided to buy this one. ... show more
