This is a great cookbook. I'm not sure why some people are complaining about it. I saw one comment that said there weren't enough pictures and literally every recipe in this book has a picture to go along with it. I have made the following recipes: chicken teriyaki, Italian Dijon chicken pasta (really good), buttermilk pancakes ( wonderful), smothered chicken (didn't look great but tasted good), jerk cornish hens ( one of my faves). Here are the ones I wasn't a particular fan of: honey garlic shrimp, mango salsa, and someone mentioned that all the ingredients aren't there for the spicy ramen which I believe is correct. SO WHY 5 STARS?? Because every meal I have made that I did like had flavor. My picky father who I am caring for after a bout with cancer who usually will not eat anything other than beef has loved just about everything me or my mother has made from this book. I was a decent cook before and now I feel like I can make company-worthy the meals without tons of trial and error. That's a pretty big leap if you ask me. Is the price steep? Yes. But I don't mind paying for great recipes that are all in one place that I know will be eaten. 4 months later, I am still referring to this cookbook about once a week when most of my cookbooks just end up collecting dust. I placed my order and received it within 2/3 days. I love all the recipes and the instructions are pretty easy to follow, but some of the recipes didn’t have certain ingredients like in some of her videos on TikTok and instagram.

It’s a good cookbook. I don’t give it 5 stars because it isn’t perfect, some recipes do have to be tweaked to your flavor preference but it gives great measurements for flavors you need.

I already know how to cook everything BUT I’d like to open up to different foods as I’ve always been scared to try new things. There’s an amazing variety of foods to try. Very detailed and easy to read even for BEGINNERS. I SAY BUY IT!! Can’t wait to get volume 2 next!

Nice book, nice pictures. She is just sharing how she prepares meals everyone makes and that's ok. It's not your typical teaching cookbook on how to make everything from sratch without boxed food items.
