This comes in 2 pieces, so it does have to be put together. But there are directions which are easy to understand, making it easy to do. The material used on the chair appears to be of higher quality, it’s gray colored and does have some texture. So it has a rougher feel to it. The chair cushion is firm yet comfortable and it sits kind of deep. And the chair does swivel so it moves front to back, side to side. This is a solidly built chair. The frame is real wood. Some swivel chairs are very stiff and do not move well, but the swivel mechanism on this chair is very smooth and works very well. The fabric is heavy duty. It had a slight off-gas smell when first opened, but it wore off after a few days. Even though it's a good chair, there were a few issues. Eight (8) washers are need and there were none in the hardware bag. I had to get them at my local hardware store. At this price level, you should expect all hardware to be included. Once assembled, the chair is great, but the assembly was frustrating. There is a cutout hole in the bottom section through which you put a bolt to screw into the top section. The hole is too small and only allowed 2 fingers to hold the bolt while inserting (see photo). This made it very hard to get the screw started for tightening. All in all, it's a good final product, but expect some frustration in assembly. ... show more

I wanted a chair and small table for a corner of my bedroom to sit and read or sit to get dressed. My husband is 6’5 and I am 5’4”. Every piece of furniture in our house leaves my feet dangling. This little chair is perfect for me but still roomy enough in the seat for him. It fit perfectly in the space and the swivel allows you to turn to and fro to reach things nearby. I got the navy blue and it’s pretty and goes well with all of my seasonal bed coverings, though the neutral colors would also look nice. It came in a large box and was a bit heavy, but it is in good shape and no assembly is needed. Very comfortable. Highly recommend! (Actually my husband set it up so quickly that I didn’t realize he has done minimal assembly) One more thought, they look like they would make nice dining chairs but they sit too low to the ground for the usual dining table, but would work for a lower Asian table ... show more

This chair is pretty smart in design as far as the assembly is concerned. I was quite entertained at how easy it was to assemble this chair. It is a light gray material and blends well with my industrial farmhouse decor. It does have a low back to the chair, so it is best used in short term sitting situation’s. The cushion on the seat is a bit stiff, but gets more comfortable as you sit. The swivel glides nicely. All the hardware is well-made. The instruction manual did mention that washers were included in the hardware, but I did not have washers. It came with bolts and an Allen wrench. It was very easy to assemble with what I had. At the current price of $279.99 I do believe the quality matches the price tag. It is on the higher end of a price for an accent chair. ... show more

This little chair is small and doesn't take up a lot of real estate space. This makes it perfect for being in a bedroom or in a living room without much floor space available to it. The instructions were easy to follow and very clear. Assembly took about 20 minutes. Once assembled, I sat in it. It is super comfortable. The material is thick and durable and the chair cushioning is perfect. I love the shade of blue. It is my favorite color and looks fantastic in my bedroom. It elevates the decor. The stitching is even throughout with no strings hanging. The swivel base works well. No sticking or noises. I am super happy with this chair. It will be in my bedroom for a very long time.
