Is this title better than Witcher, no. Is this game a great way to enjoy your free time, play during your commute or during lunch breaks at work…..yup. I enjoyed it and the portable aspect is great.

The game is great! I played it when it came out on Xbox 360 and loved it then. This game is basically the same thing and comes with all the dlc. Playing it on the switch isn’t an issue at all. I’ve had lag only a handful of times when too much starts happening on the screen. It’s a solid game that’s easy to pick up and play and come back to even if it’s been awhile ... show more

I had the original Playstation 3 game and I liked it. I don't know why I ever sold it. When I saw that this new version on Nintendo Switch was coming out, I saw this as my chance to play Kingdoms of Amalur again. That's why I bought it. The game is fun and addicting and I love seeing my character grow. So, what's with the 2-star rating? You read the headline, didn't you? This game crashes in certain areas. Several times, I've been forced back to the Nintendo Switch Home Menu because an error occurred. The first crash happened when I was fighting some monsters. I went back to that same area and nothing happened. I can't say the same for the later crashes. So far, I've found two segments where the game always crashes no matter how many times I go to that point. The first was during a cinematic cutscene in which the protagonist gives the Codex of Destiny to a Fae. Every time I tried to watch this scene, the game crashed. Since it's a cinematic sequence, I was able to skip it and move on, but I had to miss an important moment in the story. The second happens much later in the game. I'm trying to do a quest and I can't finish it because every time I try to talk to Bisarane in the House of Sorrows, the game crashes before he even really says anything. As far as I can tell, the game only crashes in these points for me. Other players have seen this game crash, but for them, the game crashed in other areas. But, this whole crashing thing shouldn't be happening at all. As good as this game is gameplay-wise, I can't recommend it. I hate to say this, but it might be a good idea to stay away from this game, at least until something is done about the crashing, which I hope happens soon. ... show more

This is a very high quality remake. I only briefly played the original. This is a vast visual improvement though. Immense story elements, beautiful visuals, and great gameplay!

Loved this game! So as there are glitches in the updates I lost 28 levels because of a glitch. Words to live by. Save anytime you go into a dungeon.
