These sheets are not soft at all - very itchy. Do not be fooled by the "raving" reviews. I decided to give these a chance, in spite of the limited reviews, since they seemed to be a relatively new product. Do not try them - I am very disappointed.

These sheets say they are hotel luxury bed sheets 100% cotton sheets. I got these for the kiddo's first apartment. When they came, I took them out of the package and was immediately smitten by the softness and feel of these sheets. They were bright white, a nice weigh, the pocket was about 16" and the finish was spectacularly soft--especially for 600 thread count sheets! And then I washed them... It was Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. I laundered them as usual in my front loader on perm press with detergent and fabric softener and then tumbled dry with fabric softener sheet. I do all my sheets this way and they are soft and beautiful. Not these. After washing, the pocket was closer to 15" which would still work for my bed. There was elastic only on the corners. If you look at the 3rd picture, you can see all 4 corners of the flat sheet. You will note that all 4 sides of the sheet are hemmed the same small hem. There is no 2-4" top hem. Then you get to the pillow cases. They are not cut true so after washing, they seams go sideways across the pillow. And not just a little bit. You can see in the 4th picture how the seam runs at a diagonal and the 5th picture where my finger is pointing at the seam. That is a significant problem in cutting. Putting these on a pillow was simply a no-go for me. And then there was the finish on the material. That satiny beautiful softness was completely gone. Kaput! Left behind was a scratch rough texture. I had some friends have a feel and they all agreed that these were far from luxurious in feel. Most said that they felt like either the cheapest possible hotel or hospital. The one holdout said he thought they were prison sheets (I didn't ask...) I've had 600 thread count sheets before that had a much finer finish to the fabric than these. I have to wonder if these are seconds because these are surely not finished or cut properly. The pricing on these sheets is the only thing that kept them at 1 star (and also because I couldn't give them 0 stars) so if you really can't afford anything else at all, or you just like really scratchy sheets, these might be for you. So, to recap elastic only on corners no top hem on flat sheet Pillowcases not cut and sewn true so seams go across the pillow fabric not finished well and super scratchy Would not recommend these sheets. These sheets were made in China. ... show more

    • Decent for the price, but...
But - and it's a big but - the elastic on the fitted sheet is only on the corners, not all the way around the perimeter. To me that's a cardinal sin, and there is no reason for it. Every other set of sheets I've gotten in the last few years has had full elastic on the fitted sheet, so I never even considered that this might not, although it was not specified either way in the description. I've never had much success with fitted sheets with only corner elastic staying on the mattress. Beyond that, they could have been good. Nothing fancy, plain white sheets with good quality but unadorned pillowcases, but all made of a nice, reasonably high thread count sateen finish that feels good and seems as though it will be durable. I do like the sateen feel better, although sateen sheets never seem to hold up as long as a good percale, but that's just me. They are extremely white! The mattress pocket is nice and deep for thick mattresses, the top sheet is adequately large, and these would have earned at least 4 stars, maybe 5 if not for cheaping out on the elastic border. Still, a reasonable value if the corner elastic is unimportant to you. ... show more

    • These sure are silky smooth for a 600 thread count sheet set.

I've spoiled myself in the past with 1800 thread count cotton sheets, but I can't really tell much of a difference between those and these with a 600-thread count. It seems that no matter how hard I try I always find a way of creating a smear, a stain, or something objectionable which requires a new set of sheets. Sure, with bleach, and detergent a lot of the minor things come clean, but never as nice as a new set. You know the feeling; you climb into bed and get that ahh moment. Another thing that I really like is that they are a 16" pocket. Nothing worse than buying sheets that only come part way down the sides of your mattress. Fourteen usually do the trick, but 16's go that one step further making them really nice, as well as staying tucked. Not much else to say, they are 100% cotton and luxurious. You'll most especially appreciate that during the summer months because of how well they breathe. All in all, highly recommended. ... show more

These sheets are a crisp 100% cotton, and they feel heavenly to slide into. The thread count is 600. I was so pleased that they have a deep pocket, enough to cover a mattress 16 inches deep. There are some things you should note. First, the fitted sheet is not taut when placed on the bed if you have a mattress less than 16 inches deep. I had a couple of inches left over, which I tucked under the mattress. (I like this because I find it frustrating to have to fight to pull tight fitted sheets over mattress ends.) Second, the hem is the same length all the way around on the flat sheet, so it’s not easy to determine where the top of the sheet is. The dimensions are 102 x 112 inches on the flat sheet and 78 x 80 inches on the fitted sheet. It is a four-piece set with two pillowcases measuring 20 x 40 inches. These JAKI King Sheet Set 600 Thread Count, 100% Cotton Hotel Luxury Bed Sheet Set- 4-Pieces Sheets & Pillowcases is a great basic no-frills set. They washed up beautifully in cold water and warm tumble dry. There is no trim or frill which can irritate some people. The edges are just neat and well sewn. The fitted sheet can easily handle deep mattresses. I was also very pleased that the pillowcases easily handle large full pillows. I was glad that these sheets have enough fabric to easily cover both sides of the bed. No fighting over the sheets. I have purchased Peacock Alley sheets for hundreds of dollars a set and they were no larger or softer. If a great basic sheet set is what you want I highly recommend this set for it's soft feel and fit. See my pictures for use. ... show more
