This mattress is not too squishy (which I like) I don’t sink in, BUT it’s also not super firm (which I also like). In my opinion, it’s the perfect balance. It came in tightly rolled plastic and was actually fun to watch pop open and come to full size. We waited a full 48 hours for the mattress to complete inflation before putting bedding on and this mattress is perfect!! Not too hard and not too soft. Just the right amount of support. My husband told me we could not return until we bought a new mattress for them. It was a very comfortable bed, and did not cause the back pain and bruises like the 30 year old mattress did. I bought this mattress to replace the mattress that came with our furnished apartment. At first I was worried just how great it would be because of the price point. But the price point and reviews sold me. It’s only to be a temporary bed until our larger apartment is ready and then get a king size bed. But after vegging out for a full day on this mattress, I’ll be ordering a king size one once we get a bigger place for sure. It took about a week for my body to get use to a firmer bed, but now my husband and I sleep like the dead. I’m a hot sleeper (and live in Texas) and this mattress has helped keep me cooler which helps me sleep through the night. My back and shoulder pain has dissipated and my husband now is sleeping on his side instead of spilling over into the middle of the bed, which use to have me clinging to the edge for my life every night.
