  • A bit of irritation.
This item came lying flat on its own pallet. The box is about 63” X 58” X 6”. The table itself was protected by multiple composite wood type boards around it (visualize a picture frame) and thick vinyl corner protectors. The two sections were packed with the playing surfaces facing each other with a thin foam-like packing sheet between them. There was a hole in the box about the size of a small fist, but no damage to the table itself. The delivery co moved the table from their truck to my garage and helped open the box so I could inspect the playing surfaces. Both were undamaged and without any blemishes at all. Setting it up was easy. Maybe 15 minutes as all that was necessary was to attach the wheel supports and the net. The frame was already attached and only required opening it. The construction was impressive with lots of screws, all metal parts and very good looking welding. Nothing was bent even a little and everything was present, including tools to assemble it. I would suggest using your own socket wrench (13 mm) for convenience and speed. The only irritation is that the white center lines do not line up. As you can see in the pictures they start off perfectly on center (30”) at the player end but end up about 1/16th off at the joining end (where the two sections go together). This results in about a 1/8” difference in alignment when they are joined together as both sections have the same problem. It is not unreasonable to expect the lines to align after paying close to $800.00 with tax for the table. As a recreational player I use the table about 2-4 hours a week and am reminded of this problem before starting each game. However the reasons I chose this brand out weigh my irritation (most of the time). The reasons being the built in storage shelves for the balls and the paddles. You can store up to 9 balls on each side and 2 or more paddles. The paddles when inserted into the shelf diagonally only stick out 3/8 of an inch. If inserted with the handle sticking straight out it’s more like an inch. So far no table paint has transferred to the balls even after a dozen or so games with the balls being hit quite hard. The traditional white striping along the edges has been replaced with a color coordinated color. In my case I have a blue table with dark blue striping along the edges. The net is the best I have ever had and the table is quite nice looking. Update. After about 10 days of use you can expect ball marks to appear on the surface. See photo. Table is in an air conditioned room during the day . At night the temperature never got above 78. All balls used were brand new orange Stiga 3 star. Some have a few paint marks on them but nowhere near enough to account for all the ball marks on the table surface. Say maybe 2% on the balls. I ordered and tried some Butterfly table top cleaner (designed for ping pong tables), but it had no affect on the ball marks at all. I also noticed that one of the side stickers was placed incorrectly. They should be straight up as in another photo. There are 6 of them. ... show more

  • Nice surface, but missing / poorly installed hardware
The table comes in two separate parts, each for one half of the table. They come together nicely. My complaint comes from two points with the hardware: Missing bolt in sliding bolt latch: When folded, each half-table surface becomes vertical and stands on the frame with the four caster wheels. This makes it easy to move the table for storage. Each half-table is supposed to have a sliding bold latch that locks it in place in the vertical position, so that it does not inadvertently fall open. However, the table I received had both bolts within the latches missing. So this is strange, since typically the hardware is installed complete, and it looked like the bolts had been pried away. The attachment of the front legs (the legs without the wheels) to the underside of the table were done rather badly--I could see the screws not being seated properly. These two points mean that when the table is opened and folded (which is how this is going to be used since it is in a space that is used for other activities), you would have to be very careful that the table doesn't fall down by itself and no undue force is applied to the hardware that might rip out the leg attachment. ... show more

  • A great appearing and well built table to play on.
This is a very nice quality table and heavy enough to not wobble around during an intense game. All the metal parts are well made, finished cleanly and displays a look of quality. The entire table projects a sens of a professional, well made and sophisticated ping pong arena. The playing surface is clean and attractively and durably finished. Based on other comments I was anticipating ball marks to appear on the table. But so far that has not been a problem. I am not sure if the surface finished has changed or that the balls I am using are different. As another purchaser, my only disappointment is that nothing connects the two halves of the table together. This is not a big problem as I simply clamped them together using the underside braces and supports to affix small bar-clamps. The disadvantage of the lack of connection is you have to come up with a method of connecting the two halves. The advantage (for glass half full folks) is that you can make sure they align perfectly and then clamp them solidly down to your own standard and satisfaction. I myself am happy with my efforts in this regard but I do wonder why, on such an expensive table a connecting mechanism is not part of the system. Bottom line - I really like the quality of the table and it appearance. The engineering in, and the presentation of the legs is hard to beat. I would probably buy it again but might look around a little more to find a like quality table that did connect the two halves. One on place though, it is a great table to play on. ... show more

  • Well built, but no bounce
Style: MYT7 Color: Breeze
Beautiful, well built table but the playing surface is "dead". There just isn't much bounce. And to make matters worse, I wrote the company asking for advice on how to correct the situation and I never received any reply. That's pretty nervy for a company who charges $1,000 and up for their ping pong tables. After spending more time on the manufacturer's website, I finally found a note that says the outdoor surfaces don't have as much bounce as the indoor surfaces. Funny they only put the flattering things in their marketing materials. ... show more

  • WICKED AWESOME. Very HIGH quality.
WICKED AWESOME. Wow am I glad we paid the extra money to get this model. It is VERY WELL BUILT! It has storage pockets in the end lip that holds the paddles and a bunch of balls, this is bonus as everything is ready to go and easy to store. The net is tight, the deck is nicely finished and the entire thing folds up in seconds for storage. I paid extra for the black which matches my home interior much better than a big blue table, the black just works better for me. I am 100% happy with this product. The kids love it and it gets the entire family jumping up and down. The solo play is great for adults but my 6 year old uses the floor to play solo against the standing section. High-5 to Team Killerspin, very well done! ... show more
