The media could not be loaded. Okay, so this is listed at 6.99 currently, so you get what you pay for. It’s super thin material, it came shrink wrapped and stuck together. I literally had to pull the material apart to lay it flat. It has a SUPER STRONG odor, which is very unpleasant. It does run true to size. The mask has holes for the eyes. The MUDEREK Kids Skeleton Costume was a letdown. Separating the skeleton detail from the rest of the fabric took thirty minutes and left stains on the black material. The fabric is stretchy, suggesting it might only be suitable for a single use as a last-resort costume. However, it is true to size, earning it two stars. Additionally, it includes a decent trick-or-treat basket with built-in lights, which might justify the cost. The LED lights feature three settings. I am so infuriated and disgusted by this product I should probably wait to write a review. Do NOT purchase this, as it is totally unwearable! If I could give a negative amount of stars I would. This came in a bag, so balled up and stuck to itself that I couldn't even tell what it was at first. The paint fumes were so noxious I thought I would throw up and got dizzy. Even worse, this is super cheap, paper thin knit and the skeleton is painted on it. The way this was balled up in the bag, you couldn't see any design because all the paint was completely stuck to itself. You couldn't straighten the costume out, The few glimpses of design were already damaged and no matter what I did, this all had to be carefully and meticulously peeled apart, and even then, lots of the paint pulled off. I spent more than half an hour working on getting this flattened out, first pulling apart a minute bit at a time, then tried a steamer for a moment hoping that might cause the paint to release (it didn't) and also put in a warm dryer for a minute, again hoping the warmth would make the paint easier to pull apart (again, it did NOT) After more than 30 minutes of this, I had a noxious smelling piece of junk, with half the painted bones ripping off or sticking to another side. There was only one glove and this is totally unwearable between the design being torn off and the smell. My child was so excited for this costume and spent time watching me try to salvage what I should have put in the trash immediately. She is super disappointed and there were tears for her (I am going to have to order another skeleton costume from another company to replace this for her) and so much frustration and disgust for me. The kids’ skeleton costume looks great, but unfortunately, it came with a weird smell that immediately set off alarm bells about its quality. Right out of the package, there was a noticeable odor that wasn’t exactly reassuring, and it made me question what materials were used. I tried airing it out, but the smell lingered, which isn’t ideal, especially for something your kid will be wearing for hours. Aside from the smell, the design is cute and spooky—perfect for Halloween or dress-up—but I’m concerned about how long it will last. The fabric feels a bit thin, and combined with the odor, it makes me hesitant about its durability and safety. It’s a bummer because the costume itself is fun and fits well, but the smell really takes away from the excitement. If you do decide to go with it, I’d recommend washing it thoroughly before use and inspecting it closely. ... show more

Everything has an intensely strong chemical smell, to the point that im genuinely concerned about having this around. Even putting the smell aside, there are some serious flaws with this item. 1. What kind of costume can’t handle a gentle wash? I put the costume in the washer on delicate, and the glow in the dark coating on the body came off. It was sticky and gross. This didn’t happen to the glow in the dark coating on the arms, hands, or mask, so I know that it *should* be able to handle a wash and that something just didn’t happen right on the body during production. 2. I was very nervous to have the nose covered by the mask, so I cut a nose hole in the mask. I don’t know if that’s a flaw necessarily, but I feel like a kid’s mask shouldn’t block off airflow. My kid wears 4T-5T, so we got the size intended for 5-6 year olds. The body is a little big, but the mask is really tight on their head. It fits, but only just, and I was nervous at the thought of my kid falling asleep with the mask on and having trouble breathing. Obviously I won’t let them do that, but I’m also not taking any chances, so I altered the mask. Seems like the makers have a questionable comfort level with liability IMO 3. The zipper is LONG. It only actually zips about a quarter of the way down the back, but then it has a non-functional tail so long that it goes down one of the legs.     • Technical difficulties
This costume had some difficulties with construction and materials that didn't make it a win for us. The back zipper is actually quite long, but weirdly it's only installed in a very short length of the back seam making it quite difficult to get on. The costume arrived vacuum-packed, and everywhere the fabric or decoration touched itself it was welded together. It was a long process trying to peel it apart without damaging it, not entirely successful. The decorations did glow after exposure to sunlight, but not for very long.
