I am an autistic adult and I bought this for myself. I enjoy having it in my living room so that I can just sit on it and spin whenever I want to. I will say that this thing really has a lot of momentum and it will spin FAST, so you kind of have to use your body to control it and the speed (whoever has the chair will know exactly what I mean by this). The main thing I personally like to do is use my body to make the chair spin back and forth, from one side to the other, rather than spin in circles. Yes, you can do that! I may end up editing this review to include a video of me doing that so people can know what I mean. The chair is also very sturdy and runs smoothly! This is great for kids and adults alike, and I especially think that more autistic adults should know about this chair, because I feel like a lot of them would really enjoy it. I bought this for my grandchildren who are 7 and 9. My granddaughter is 9 and has Down syndrome. She is on the high side of BMI for her age so something very sturdy was important. This was fun out of the box. I’m 150 and I got on it before I gave it to them. I didn’t want to give it away. If spinning doesn’t bother you, it’s great ab workout for kids and adults because it spins at a tilt so you have to work a little to stay on. The grandkids LOVE it. Very durable and spins pretty much on its own with little to no effort. No assembly required, ready to use straight out of the box. It seats myself comfortably and I'm 5'6" 170lbs. I can’t express how much this helps my son regulate his emotions. He loves this thing that I need to buy him another one so he can have one in each room he is in. When he feels overwhelmed he just sits and spins until he feels better. Even though it is a bit pricey it is well worth it specially for our kiddos who have sensory difficulties. The size is decent for a child, I love the fish style because they have a better grip when spinning compared to the circle one.
