My 3 year old neice loved this. The makeup was easy to cleanup. The jewelry that comes with it is uses a glue that results in the gemstones coming off, but it is easily fixed with superglue. Overall it's good for age 6 and under.

My daughter loves this. It’s a little small, but she just turned 7 and is beginning to get interested in makeup. Other kits that we’ve gotten her in the past really don’t have good storage solutions and the individual makeup items frequently get lost. She really enjoys opening the box and extending the folding trays. First thing she did was give me a makeover. The quality of the children's makeup is actually pretty good. The biggest issues with items like this is typical quality of the makeup. It’s gotta be made for kids and easily cleanable, but it also shouldn’t stain. This product seems to have a good balance. Other sets I’ve bought her have either contained items that really weren’t visible when applied or stained her face. This stuff doesn’t seem to cause issues with furniture and it’s somewhat easy to remove. The colors are also vivid and easy to see so she can practice application on her own. The included fold up mirror is a nice feature. The set is a little small, I was expecting the box to be bigger, but it contains a decent amount of items. It’s also got storage in the bottom for additional items if she wants to put lip gloss or something in there. Pretty good value for the price. ... show more

My 4yr old absolutely loves this. There are so many options and accessories that I was hesitant about the small chest it was in (Photo 1). However, once you open the chest everything is visible and easily accessible (Photo 2). My 4yr old has no issues getting to anything at all. She has covered her face in layers of makeup, and it was easy to clean off and she developed no rashes from it. The nail polish was also easy to come off. All the jewelry was able to stretch without breaking and the earrings was sturdy and easy to clip on. The Downsides The nail polish is very light in color and the lipsticks feels like it’s the cheapest pieces in the set. They broke after the first use and falls apart with any pressure (Photo 3). Then there is the pack of colored jewels which does not stick well or it falls off soon after applying. Finally, the “mirror”, it is completely pointless as it provides very minimal reflection (Photo 4). Overall, it's a good product that will provide days of fun for your little one ... show more

The "mirror" in this is basically a sticker version of a piece of foil. It provides an extremely diffuse reflection that is entirely useless unless you're half an inch from it. Had to go out to the dollar store and buy a mirror from there because apparently a functional mirror was just over the budget for this. That annoyance aside, it's otherwise a very nice little kit full of fun makeup for little kids. My daughter has been using it and claims her only complaint (besides the mirror, which she was not a fan of) was that she'd like some more colors. I’ll be giving this to my daughter for Christmas so I’ll update once she starts using the makeup. Overall, it’s a nice set with a variety of shadows, gloss, and other makeup items suitable for play. There is also a crown and necklace that comes with it, made out of cheap plastic so I don’t expect that to last too long. I think my daughter will love this and I love that the container is small enough that it won’t take up too much space. ... show more

When this makeup kit arrived I was a little disappointed with how small it looked. However, I opened it and was surprised by how much makeup is actually inside! It has compartments that open up to reveal even more makeup. I ordered this for the three year old girl I babysit so she can have something fun to do at my house. She absolutely loves it so much! She instantly started playing and spent two hours giving herself, me, and her doll a makeover. There is a good amount of makeup in this case, so it's a good deal for the price. Each makeup piece is easy to take out, so a little girl can easily do it herself which will make her feel like a big girl. The makeup washes off easily, just use soap and water and it comes right off. Surprisingly, the eyeshadow and blush has decent pigment so it will show up on any skin tone. So many little girls love to watch their mom as she does makeup and they usually end up sneaking in her makeup case creating a mess. With this, the little girl can have her own special makeup case. I highly recommend buying this makeup case for a special little girl. It will let her express herself how she wants and can also be a bonding moment as she does her makeup as she watches her mom or sister.
