This is a really cool set. Lots of pieces and it all fits in a big truck that folds out to a play set. The only problem is the perspective of the advertised picture is significantly bigger than the actual set. The picture makes the set and all included seem like it will cover a good floor space when it’s more like a table space. That could be a problem if you hoping for the former. But for the kids tiny hands it works just fine. Not a lot to say about a toy that has been around for probably close to a century. They do allow kids to use their imagination in constructing roads and playing construction worker. The sounds the toys make are not too loud and is a nice mix to keep the kids engaged for a while. Mostly constructed from plastic with a little metal to add some strength. They should last as long as your kids or Grandkids would be interested in playing with such things. In my opinion the whole set is very small, you see the picture next to the child thinking the main truck is going to be a decent size and it about the size of a mens 11 shoe. The pieces are very small as well so if you have younger children, this is an extreme caution toy. Now as for playtime, it is fun playing along with grandson and acting like we're building a city in the sandbox I just have to keep my eyes on him and the pieces as he is special needs and still puts things in his mouth ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a great set! It has so many pieces and will encourage children’s imagination and entertain them for a long time. It’s a great thing for parents/grandparents to do with children. It works be great bonding time. I put some of it together but not all of it because I want to let my grandson put most of it together when he comes over. It has six vehicles and they are functional and well made. The truck opens up to build the construction site and most of the pieces can be stored in it when not in use. The only con I see is that it doesn’t come with instructions. I think I figured most of it out by looking at the box but you have to refer to it on Amazon too to see everything. This is the reason I deducted one star. I would give it 4 1/2 stars if I could but I can’t so I’m going to go with four because it really should include instructions. ... show more

We got this for my wife's classroom. It is a nice assortment of construction toys with a playset. Great value for what is included. The toys are fairly nice quality. Don't expect the same levels of the name brands, but these would also cost more. Our only complaint was that the box came dinged up. Received this through Amazon Vine, I picked this up for my 4 year old grandson. Well ,both of us have had a lot of fun and imagination time with this construction set. I'm now 70 and I have found myself having a bit of fun setting things up for him for the next days construction site. As you can see in the picture, there are quite a few accessories that accompany the main vehicle and the very strong and sturdy, Tall Boy crane. There are an assortment of road signs, barricades ,cones, a stop light and a couple of workers with a wheel barrow and some tools. The Tall Boy crane has a ratcheted pulley system with a metal crane hook and a metal counter balance weight on the upper rear end for balance. The rest of the crane is a very tough plastic build that will handle the playtime of a 4 year old just fine. The set also comes with 6 vehicles all with metal cabs and the same strong plastic build for the rest of the vehicle. There's A dump truck, ashphalt steam roller,excavator ,forklift ,front end digger and a cement truck. The detail of each vehicle is spot on. Finally the actual semi truck that doubles as a pack all for all the accessories also has a metal cab and a well built plastic trailer. The trailer opens up as sort of a staging area with a ramp for vehicles to to go up and down when moving to another construction site. On the top of the cab are 4 buttons for different sounds ,engine start ,back up beeper and etc. The cab takes 3 AA batteries to operate the sounds and inner cab red lighting. In the center of the trailer/staging area is a spring loaded vehicle ejector just to give the vehicles a bit of a jump start when leaving via the rear ramp. You can also pretend drive them up and down the ground to vehicle side ramp. When the workday is over all the parts will fit into the trailer,the sides lift up and all accessories fit nicely in the trailer,just so some of the smaller pieces don't get lost. All in all, such a nice set to stimulate the imagination of of your younger children as they build the roads and buildings for another generation. Excellent detail and quality. Now if you'll excuse me I want to get back to my construction site with my grandson and let our imaginations run wild. ... show more

This photo is blatant misrepresentation of the product its far smaller then that. Meaning the smaller pieces do not belong in the hands of 3 and 4 year Olds. It's a great toy for what it is but these lies in advertising need to stop.

My kids face lit up when I opened this set up! He loves everything construction/cars related and this did not disappoint! The trailer I'd metal and is has multiple features once opened into a platform to keep entertaining and fostering pretend play! There is a platform that you can attach to one end with ramps leading up and into the trailer. A little launching chute and multiple parking areas! We did not put batteries in it yet (I didn't have correct size) but even without sounds we had a blast playing with this! This set also comes with a crane that you have to pop together. It has a know that you can turn to lower or raise the crane hook. I'm pretty sure this was my favorite part of the set! Even with all of that, it also includes a ton of little road signs, barricades, mini construction workers, tools and so much more. Every thing folds up into the trailer when done playing for convenient storage or play on the go! ... show more
