This was terrible, it was burnt with giant craters, not too stale but I'd say 20% of the beans were cratered. And unfortunately it seems as though the usual staple of three sisters kicking horse I get is also now burnt. Not even talking dark roast, as I do love a dark roast occasionally, it was medium &burnt as if they were on the bottom and not turned properly and roasted too high? I had high hopes as my favorite variation came burnt and bitter, but it seems as though something happened, my go to no-more 😒 unfortunately my area has very little choices and the ones in the store are either expired or burnt like this one. I've bought kickinghorse Coffee now many times over as it's my "GO TO". This purchase of "lucky Jim" however was not so lucky for me as I was on the toilet with some bad effect of this bad batch. I've sent back and notified Amazon. I hope the Compnay gets the memo as well..

I'm a frequent coffee drinker and I enjoy the three sisters blend, however, I must have gotten a bad batch based on reviews. My coffee not only smells a bit burnt but taste like actual dirt. I'm not trying to be rude but it's almost as if they didn't wash the beans before roasting (which I realize most likely didn't happen). I just feel like either I got a bad batch or my taste in coffees (which I do drink black) is vastly different then the rest of the community. ... show more
