I am a women who loves both girly and unisex scents. This one smells amazing but threw me off a bit at first because it is much more masculine smelling than I tend to like for myself. It's spicy and rich. It smells divine! I pick up on the cinnnamon, musk, vanilla, tonka bean, coffee and something else that I'm not so sure about in this fragrance. It lasts well into the next day, I've even smelled this perfume in my dirty laundry pile while walking by it. I love how spicy and warm the scent profile is. This is definitely a perfect fall/winter scent, and it pairs wonderfully with Lataffa Eclaire. Not to mention, the bottle is gorgeous!     • The smell of the hollidays

When I first got Khamrah Qahwa I was blown away with the price and presentation of the product. Most designer perfumes do not put nearly as much effort into the product boxing and it really made it feel like it should be far more expensive as it is. Instead of throwing away the box I decided to keep it just for how nicely it displays the bottle. Of course the packaging isn't why you buy a product. The first spray had a bit of an alchol smell for the first few seconds but after that evaporated, I did start to pick up on a very sweet and spicy holiday feel to it. While I heard that it's a coffee scent it's very light and gives the other spices of cinnamon, ginger and cardamon room to really play as well as the scent of vanilla and to my nose a slight honey smell. It really smells like a nice coffee shop or kind of like a holiday Yankee Candle. As for gender this one is perfectly neutral, and anyone could easily wear it. As for the performance I normally only need two or three sprays, and it will last all day. While I of course go nose blind to it fairly quickly I do get the occasional reminder that it's still performing as I catch it in the air. Qahwa has gotten a number of complements for me in the short time I have had it and it, and they even happen several hours after I have sprayed it on, so it is one you won't have to reapply during the day. While I would say it's perfect for a winter evening it's a scent that really is unoffensive that I feel it could be worn during the day even in an office if you go with one or two sprays. As for the time of year it's definitely a fall and winter scent. I haven't owned it long enough to see how it would perform in the warmer weather but I would guess it would be too much for that. ... show more

I have to say- this is my new scent. It feels like it’s worth more than $30. It lasts a long time and the scent slightly changes with your own pheromones. The packaging is beautiful and I love the bottle. Feels very classy. It’s definitely a smoky, woody, slightly spicy scent with a hint of floral and vanilla that just flourishes throughout the day.     • A solid, sensual standalone gourmand that doesn't need to be a clone of anything to be good.

I haven't smelled Angel's Share except for a small decant before I bought this, but they are similar enough with the main notes and distinct enough with the others for me to choose this over the original. For some fragrances I will spend real money, but they have to be in my top ten, Absolute Must Have list, EDPs only, and too original and distinct to replicate. For any gourmand fragrance (which, let's face it, are a dime-a-dozen), it's not worth dropping $300 in my book. Note that this one needs to macerate awhile. Let some air into the bottle with 10 or so sprays then ignore it for a few months. It will smooth out over time. WHAT I LIKE ABOUT KHAMRAH: Unlike all the people saying this is a winter fragrance, Khamrah for me in hot weather blooms like a skanky, sensual afternoon on the beach boardwalk right outside the toffee shop. It smells like warm skin and golden hour and funnel cakes dunked in cinnamon sugar. There is faintly coconutty suntan lotion in there, still clinging to the sundress you've had on all day. It's all of this and a Captain Morgan cocktail at the beach bar while the sun is setting. Because of this vibe, it has an animalic quality to it all its own. I do not get anything distinctly reminiscent of apple or dates, but it is not your garden variety vanilla-tonka gourmand either. WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT KHAMRAH: The opening really is something between an apple pie Glade plug-in and a Dollar Tree Christmas candle. It can make you question your choice to buy it. Be patient. Spray this and then wait about 30 minutes before going out in public. WHAT I WEAR INSTEAD: Shaghaf Oud, I will always love it, it smells like a sticky, sensual Indian summer in a bottle to me with the waft of a saffron market stall whiffing underneath my nose. My favorite gourmand fragrance, hands down. IF IT GETS BORING ON ITS OWN: Layer it with any solar fragrance (trust me, it works), add some dark chocolate or booze, or something spicy like Kenzo's Jungle L'Elephant. CONCLUSION: People are unnecessarily dunking on an original fragrance from Lattafa just because they don't think it's a good dupe for something else, and I don't think they give it enough of a chance. It fits in my gourmand family just fine along with just a handful of others because of its distinctiveness, and with my skin chemistry it is always warm and sensual. I bought this as a impromptu gift for my husband after smelling this on a client. The fragrance is warm, comforting and delicious. One of my coworkers also noticed the cologne and ask them what it was. I order it within 3 days of finding out what it was. Everytime my husband uses it, I just want to keep hugging and smelling him. This is so great and very affordable too. He is into cologne, has about 12 open bottles, and I will say this is one of his favorites.
