  • One of the most amazing books Ive ever read/worked with
Taught this book in the 6th grade for 3 years straight as extensive reading. Its amazing to teach countries and cultures, vocabulary, some verb tenses and especially values and theme. Ideally for a kid who’s insterested in sailing, traveling the world and war.

  • Mike has grown in Kensuke’s Kingdom
My friend recommended this novel as a good children’s novel and it was quite a good adventure story. Though the bombing on Nagasaki part made me think a lot as a Korean, the overall story was well put-together.

  • A top notch story for young and old.T
This is a beautiful story. It has true humanity on so many different generational levels, everyone should read it. I'm a teacher and my students have always been mesmerized by this story. I've given copies to grown friends and never been disappointed by their warm reactions. Don't miss this story.

  • Good Books
I love all the books by Michael Morpurgo. I read a lot of mysteries and courtroom dramas and I pick a book by this author to lift me up. "War Horse" was a favorite of mine. I am going to order "An Elephant In The Garden" soon, I recommend his books to all my grandchildren.

  • Heartwarming children's book
I would recommend this book for children or young adults. I liked the Robinson Crusoe like story, and the plot was evenly paced. It was engaging throughout.
