To start with, taking the wrapping off this product is like finding yourself in one of the rings of hell. The clear wrapping has no perforations, not even one, and it is impossible to remove without the aid of scissors or a knife. When you get it started you think "aha now this baby is going to just peel right off". Wrong. It is going to come off in little pieces. Slowly. Fast forward 15 minutes later and you discover that the directions, which you thought were merely a sheet of paper wrapped around the curtain rod is actually stuck to the rod with the glue of Hercules. You cannot get this off without running it under water and using dish soap or something similar and then scrapping it off in soggy pieces. Finally, you are ready to install your curtain rod and discover this is not a tension rod. There is no spring folks but instead some type of plastic insert. So I proceed to push the two sections of the rod together only to discover it is now stuck. No amount of pulling, pushing, pleading, cussing, cajoling or twisting is getting rod section A released from rod section B. That gizmo from hell inside the rod has permanently bonded with one section and will not budge. A gorilla in a state of rage couldn't separate these two pieces. I should have taken the time to read the reviews but thought, it's a shower curtain rod, what could go wrong? Now I know. Don't be like me. Read the reviews and don't buy this curtain rod. Shower door broke off and needed a quick fix, this tension rod does the trick, the hardest part lol was removing the shrinkwrap plastic, I used the edge of a sizzor and removed plastic to the middle, then stared again on opposite end removing plastic to middle. Made rod slightly longer then the space it was going. Put in on a slight angle and pushed, lightly hammered with fist, the lower side up so it is even on both sides. Feels sturdy. ... show more

What a great curtain tension rod! Super easy to set up, strong , sturdy, and attractive. No dents. I had my curtains up in minutes thanks to these. Comes in shrink wrap and a sticker which is a bit of a pain to peel off, but didn't stop me from ordering 2 more times. I used mine for door curtains. Go ahead and buy :) ... show more
