Wanted to buy Made in USA. Seems like good quality, unfortunately came damaged and I’m unable to lock or use top drawer. Neither seller nor shipper wants to help correct situation. Better off buying local product that is Made in China.

I have had the matching Kennedy chest and base since the 80s, I finally had the space (and money) to buy the roll-around matching cabinet. Same high quality, same good looks, great cabinet. I had REALLY great customer service on this item too. It was shipped from a third party, took a few weeks to get to my home and when it showed up the trucking company had really beat the snot out of it. Obviously I refused delivery and the truck took it away. After one phone call to Amazon and a few emails, I received a new, unscratched cabinet the very next day! I was surprised.     • This model 295B, is like a delicate flower. Looks nice, but handling it will leave bruises.
My slide rails of my year 2000 era roller cabinet finally failed. After fighting non-bearing slides for years, roller slides, 5 drawers, and a lift door were my main priorities in a new box. All panels, and drawer bottoms and sides deflect with minimal pressure. The wheels are stiff like they are binding. The wheel brackets are heavier stamped metal, but hardly industrial. The top of my box was caved in like a low speed fender dent, I had to C clamp the front corners against a 3/8" steel bar to get it almost back to flat. Even though there is a spot welded "angle" about 3/8" x 3/8" underneath, down the center of the top, it did little for reinforcement, and the top warped when I placed my upper cabinet that did not span edge to edge on it. It was 27" wide instead of 29". I ended up screwing through the top into my upper drawer set bottom rail to offset the deflection. The drawer slide extension catches are clear plastic, I don't know how the drawers have a rating for 125#, and 1,400# for the box. The bottom door feels light like corrugated cardboard. The "heaviest duty" part of this box that I could find was the handle. This is not your father's toolbox, and from what has been mentioned to me, it is not the Kennedy of yesteryear, either. I'm disappointed with the unbelievably high prices for such low yield strength equipment. I would not recommend. ... show more

We are an OEM and we are forced to buy these boxes as a result of a design callout. These boxes almost always arrive damaged. I have seen them with tire tracks across the front. They are certainly not worth the cost you have to pay. Almost any tool box you get from Home Depot, Lowes, even Harbor Freight is of better quality. We have bought a lot of them, usually 7 to 10 at a time and they are junk. The drawers do not slide smoothly, the locks don't work well, and it's not uncommon for them to arrive missing the hardware to mount the casters and handle. We currently have one on the floor now that we can't complete assembly on because the manufacturer forgot to put the hardware in the box. Just junk and poor quality. ... show more

I bought three of these tool cabinets expecting a high quality product to replace my low end Craftsman junk. My father had a Kennedy cabinet and it was first rate. I spent more expecting to get more. The cabinet itself is OK, but the drawers are lighter gauge bordering on flimsy. My main complaint is the cabinet hardware. Yes the drawer runners are ball bearing but they are chinchy. I don't expect them to last. The casters are no better than my old low-end Craftsman. And the fasteners provided for the casters are the worst. Slotted head screws with distorted thread lock nuts!!! Really? The only way to install these is with needle nose vice grips on the screw head. Even then it's a real pain. Would it really have cost that much more to provide hex screws with flange nuts? In this case, you don't get what you pay for. ... show more
