  • Excellent, what a great upgrade, feels exactly correct. SW is mediocre
Size: Brown Switch
Oh man, I love this keyboard. I bought Brown and Red switch, I'm using Brown right now and put the red one on my work computer so I'll update this with some info in that area. VERY responsive. solid clic but not obnoxious. I love the layout because I'm old school and really like the number pad and don't use that middle pad so they mushed it down in between on the bottom so the arrows could still be used. Love that. China Rocks on this one. 2 thumbs up. NOTE: You can use the FN-TAB key to eventually turn ALL the lights off (couldn't find that in the docs, just hacked it). Software is mediocre (Uninstall failed even) - BUT the actual keyboard is awesome so I kept them. ... show more

  • Great budget gaming keyboard
Size: Red Switch
This is a great budget keyboard. My only complaint on this keyboard (which might be user error on my part) is that I haven't found or see where I can turn off or change the slow moving light in the front of the keyboard. Sometime I find that annoying and distracting but its a minor thing. I was very surprised at the weight of the keyboard as it was heavier than I expected for a budget keyboard. Most budget keyboards are cheap and lightweight. this one has some weight to it. I also love the click/clocky sounds that the switches and keys make. I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone who is looking for an entry level mechanical keyboard at a good price. ... show more

  • Pretty solid keyboard for the price.
Size: Red Switch
If you’re like me and spilled coffee on all your customs, and don’t want to shell out another 500. This is pretty good

  • I like a keyboard that clicks, and this one is perfect.
Size: Blue Switch
I had two goals in choosing a new keyboard I wanted a mechanical keyboard with positive response to the keypress and I wanted black on white keys to help with difficult lighting. This keyboard offers both, but in addition it is heavy, and to me, heavy is good! Very happy that I found it on a keyboard review website, and I went to Amazon to buy it. I had temporary pause, because I saw that Fake Spot review downgraded the positive reviews, suggesting that the high rating may have been padded. Because I had found the keyboard recommendation on a different website, I went ahead and bought it anyway. Very pleased that I did. ... show more

  • Great Overall
Size: Blue Switch
Not a gamer! Bought it for the home office because of the look. A bit weird figuring out the lights controls at first, but is a great buy for the money. Keystrokes are not too subtle, which is good for eliminating guess strokes. Lights are neat for working past sunlit hours in a dim room/office.

  • Took some time to get used to it, but now I love it
Size: Red Switch
This keyboard seemed to work with my iMac right out of the box. Then I noticed that certain common keystrokes were not working as expected. For example, command-C and command-V were not producing “copy” and “paste” functions. I checked the box more thoroughly and there was no user manual. The company website had no instructions or software drivers for Mac. So I was quite frustrated. Then I found a laminated card with print so tiny I thought it might be a license agreement or something. I had to use a magnifying glass to read it. But it turned out to be a cryptic list of function key combinations that are the key to controlling this keyboard. I all had to do was press the Fn + Z keys to transform the keyboard into a Mac layout, complete with command and option keys. In my many years of using keyboards, I have almost never used “function keys” (the Fn key followed by other keys), so I was a bit out of my comfort zone. But after about 20 minutes of reading the chart and experimenting with different key combinations, I had gotten the keyboard to work just the way I wanted it. In particular, there are a bunch of backlighting effects which I thought were cool at first, but very quickly became annoying. I was able to turn them all off. And there are many keystroke combinations that can be used for dedicated purposes such as controlling media, web browsing, even bringing up a calculator. Some of these may be worth memorizing, if you use them often enough. Once I had gotten the keyboard to work the way I wanted, I found the operation of it to be fantastic. The mechanical mechanism is so much more satisfying than the shallow electronic keys on most keyboards these days. There is a satisfying “click” that goes with the feeling of a natural keystroke bouncing back. It brought back memories of the IBM electric typewriters and early computer keyboards of my youth. These keys have very little resistance (or “mushiness”) and are quite sensitive. The good news is that it is easy to type fast, but also easier to make mistakes. The keyboard itself is heavy and connects via a USB cable, so it is best suited for semi-permanent desktop setups, where it feels solid and stable. The build quality is excellent. And now I have a new favorite keyboard which I expect to be using for a long time. Helpful tip: If you are the type of person who likes a large keyboard with lots of dedicated buttons with labels, and no learning curve, this may not be the keyboard for you. But if you are willing to spend some time learning to use the Fn key, you’ll discover that this is really an excellent keyboard for regular use. ... show more
