This is the best camp chair I've ever seen. I'm really happy I bought it. I'm a larger guy, 6 ft tall 250 lb and this chair is perfect for me. It's very high quality and it's clearly worth the money. The steel frame is thick and has a nice painted coating. The chair has lots of nice features like double cup holders that are insulated, adjustable height arm rests and an adjustable recline. I love this chair and it's very comfortable. This style of chair is typically frustrating and uncomfortable for big people. But this chair by kelty solves all those problems by being super plush and extra wide and having padding and all the right places. I don't think you could buy a better folding camp chair. Very sturdy and comfortable. Nice big pockets. In the straight up position, it does seems to lay back a little far but not far enough it's hard to eat in. I'm 6'2 215lbs and it's on the verge of being a little too big for me. My kids keep stealing this chair from me so they can lay down in it! A great chair for the drive in movies! ... show more

This chair is perfect for lounging on the beach. With the adjustable settings you can go from sort of lounging, to really getting that beach lounge on. While it isn't the cheapest chair, with Kelty, you really get what you pay for. A very heavy duty chair that I spent hours in without any discomfort. The roll-up storage sleeve is amazing. It has a comfortable carrying strap that doesn't dig into your shoulder and neck the way straps on other chairs do, and it doubles as a beach mat to keep your personal items from getting all sandy. The chair dries out quick, and is a breeze to set up and pack back up. I have many other Kelty products from backpacks to tents to other camping chairs, and they have all been built well and withstood the test of time. I don't see any reason why this chair would be any different. Great product. ***One disclaimer is that the chair is really meant for lounging and laying back, so if you are looking for more of a camping chair to sit upright in front of a fire, or at a tailgate, or at a table eating/playing cards, etc....this is probably not the chair that you would want. ... show more

I bought this chair for camping, Girl Scout events, tball events and concerts, thinking it would be a good option while having to sit for long periods. Like everyone else said this is a large comfy chair. Compared to a typical camp chair it’s very big. I am taller and my feet do hit the ground but my back ends up being very curved. I don’t think I could comfortably sit for long periods of time like this. That’s the only thing I didn’t like and why I am most likely going to return it. Even in the most upright position I am forced to lean back. I would have to sit forward in order to roast s’more with the kids. I would not recommend this for someone who has less mobility. I could see it being very hard to get out of. If that doesn’t bug you I would highly recommend this chair. If I return it I will be getting the Kelty essential chair because the quality of this chair is great! Very study and will last a long time. ... show more

We shopped a lot of camp chairs to replace our 15 plus year old chairs. We had a lot of requirements; comfortable for reading and campfires, reclining in some way, folded size to fit in our front RV storage compartment, sturdy construction and had to look good. These chairs were the only ones to meet all our requirements after shopping for the last two years. The price was a good 15% less than the big box store we found and tried these in. We felt a little bad about not purchasing them from the big box store, but 15% less was not even close! Also, the big box store did not have two in stock and we would have had to pay shipping to order from their web site. The choice to purchase from this Amazon vendor was pretty easy and the Big Box should know their competition and adjust price accordingly if they don't want to miss out. Delivery was very fast, three days. I was surprised to see the FedEx truck when it came. Return instructions and vendor contact information are included, although we have no plans to return these. ... show more
