I have ordered a lot of oversees made winter jackets online. Mostly, they are much smaller than specified. Also, they are usually much thinner. However, this jacket breaks the norm I have been used to getting. A lot of people review that the jacket they bought was warm down to and below freezing temperatures. But few I have bought have been. This one really is. I made the mistake of wearing it to go grocery shopping. In the store I was soon sweating and had to open the jacket up. I nearly had to take it off. Outside, it is very good at keeping the wind out. And speaking of wind, the hood fits around the head nicely and sticks out in front with enough stiffness to keep out almost all of the wind except a direct wind. The fur like lining is both comfortable and warm. The lining in the sleeves is polyester so it does not grab your shirt sleeves when you put it on. The zipper seems good to me and there is a flap over it to help with keeping the wind out. The sleeves, for me, were a little long. But when you reach out they do not ride up your forearm. Also, they have adjustable Velcro straps so you can adjust them to your wrists and then they do not extend all the way down. Also, there is elastic on the sleeve along with the velcro closure. That way, when you push your arm through the sleeve the elastic gives and your hand can go through. You do not have to release the Velcro to get your hand through.But if you want, it is easy to let them fall over your hands and you do not need gloves. I knew this was going to be a good jacket as soon as I saw the box at my doorstep. Most jackets I have gotten have been shipped in plastic bags. This jacket was in a wide box. When I picked up the box, I immediately knew that this was going to be a warm jacket by the weight of the box. The weave of the outside material is tight and blocks the wind well. Pros: Good fit, warm, and fairly comfortable. Cons: 1. The hood - although good fit - is not well-designed; the flaps with Velcro, that cover the face, are too short to reach the ends and cover the face, and so are the ropes to lock/tie them. 2. The main outside side pockets are not deep enough, and the phone may fall out of them, and the chest pockets could be larger/deeper, especially inside chest pocket. ... show more

I brought this for my husband who is a dialysis patient so they are cold all the time. I put this jacket on and said take it off it’s too hot. Now we were inside. LOL. He is very comfortable in this jacket, and the furry type liner keeps him warm. The jacket is very good looking, with the hood you can pull over your head in snow, rain or just high cold wind it protects your face completely. Also with the flap that snaps under the chin as well. We cannot beat the value for this coat and it's cost. The only cons I will start with are the zipper seems like it's not that strong it has not broke on this coat yet but I sensed that it's coming even then it will still be worth it. And it's lack of pockets, it has one small inside pocket which does get used but it being bigger and having another one on both sides would be nice. Oh it also doesn't have one of those little flaps over the main zipper it hasn't bothered me yet as far as letting cold air in, and I was standing out in the 35 mile an hour negative 40° wind pumping gas yesterday and I was not cold at all. At a big smile on my face all cuz of this cheap Chinese coat from amazon".:0. Edit. Also note this fits very true to size. Better than I'm used to. My Amazon box was wet and in pretty nasty shape. Still sealed. Upon opening there was a deep cut through the packaging and jacket where it would be if you cut box open with a long box cutter. Unfortunately I had to return it but I wore it just that night because I needed a coat and it was very, very nice. Freezing temperature and i only had a t shirt underneath and stayed warm. Hood and hood lock worked well and It was very comfortable. I assume the damage happened from some Amazon employee but undamaged I would definitely recommend for the price. ( 3X was a little big on me and 2X would have fetch perfect) ... show more

Had this coat a year. It's very warm and the arms are long enough for me. The zippers are poor quality. I had to have the main zipper replaced and the pockets zip in the wrong direction. I've noticed it's coming apart near the collar. The pockets are kind of shallow. I have to zip them if I put anything in them or it will fall out. For the price it's a decent coat. I Would give it 3.5 stars, can't give it 4 ... show more
