Especially since this design for coffee or tea cups is elegant, but the disadvantage is that the top cover cannot be tightened well and opens easily Which makes it not a leak proof. Really disappointed.

this is my second keep cup because I wanted a larger amount than what the 8 oz offers, from a product designer perspective I love the look of the product. I appreciate the aesthetics, and I love the mix of materials especially adding in the cork really communicates the sustainable side of the brand. however, the cup does not keep the temperature for so long so a travel cup from the stainless steel insulated family would do a better job. all that being said it can keep the temperature for like 2 hours max. and definitely just warm not actually hot. the cork piece is also not practical while holding the cup, its not high enough to hold the cup comfortably. it covers a little of the glass, it should cover a bit more of the glass for the sake of basic ergonomics of a hand holding a cup that size. that goes for both the small one and this one. I do understand of course that cork is a costly material compared to the other materials in the product but living sustainably means you pay once and the product lives on. i was kinda thinking about ordering me the biggest size however that cork thing really bothers me. over all I love it I still use both cups, and who knows maybe if the brand thinks over that cork band height I'd be more than happy to buy the bigger size if it means I could hold it comfortably. ... show more

This cup is in the right size, shape and weight. I never managed to get used to the plastic-reusable cups and for years used to take my regular glass mugs with me in the morning for the drive to work. Once I got this cup I no longer need to do so.

I've read the complaints: "I dropped it." ; "It leaks." ; "It's too hot." ; "It's too cold." Take them with a grain of salt. This is basically a bomb proof PAPER CUP. It's made of high quality glass of course, and all that, but it should be handle as if its a take out cup. It's temperature retention properties are roughly the same as that. If it's -20 and you have to walk 8 miles, its not gonna be warm, but neither would a PAPER CUP. You also can't pick paper cups up by the lid. They spill. I've done it more than once with a $5 latte and almost cried. It was totally on me, with a assist from gravity. I've gotten a lot of good feedback from the Baristas in my town. They think its cool and they are able to treat it just like their disposable cups. It's also comes in sizes that coffee shops have, so you aren't paying for more or less by bringing your own cup. If you love the experience of a PAPER CUP, but don't want throw out 6-8 of them a week, buy this. And don't forget, to treat it like the most expensive PAPER CUP you've ever bought.
