    • The Best Sandals in the World
I love these sandals. I read a number of reviews before I purchased them and thought maybe some of the reviews indulged in a bit of gleeful hyperbole. They did not. These are maybe the best sandals in the world. They are the best I've worn. What I mean by that is they are comfortable right out of the box, fit true to size, provide good arch and total support of the foot, require no breaking in, and look good on your feet. The pair I selected (this time!) has a kind of pink-coral trim which is actually a soft felt lining inside the shoe and against the foot that is visible along the sides and back of the sandal. They are lightweight and apparently "weather-proof" and have a great ridged sole that grips rough terrain. I love these sandals. They are my first pair of Keen sandals or shoes. I have already placed orders for additional pairs-- slides, slippers, lace up oxfords, and another style of sandals. Over the years, I've worn many brands of sandal and walking shoes (Mephisto, Clark's, Merrell, etc.), but Keen's may be the best sandals in the world. ... show more

    • I'm Hard to Fit. These are Cute AND Comfortable... Win : Win!
My sister-in-law only wears KEEN sandals. She says she hasn't found anything that fits her better or are more comfortable and I wanted to see for myself. They arrived today and I must say, the fit is "spot on". I wore them around the house for a few hours (still too cold here) and they felt wonderful. I ordinarily wear a size 8.5 to 9 (mostly 9); and I agonized over which size to choose. (I HATE doing the return/exchange thing.) Thanks to the reviews, I chose the 8.5 and they're perfect! Admittedly, when I first saw them I thought, "uh oh, not gonna be wide enough", but when I tried them on I was surprised that they fit quite well. I don't have much of an arch, almost to the point of having flat feet, almost. There are brands I can't wear because they are too narrow and other's I need to buy in wide to fit me just right. If there is good arch support, I'm in agony, truly. I'm sorry, but if you have a particularly high arch, these might not be the best choice for you. If you have a wider foot or a low to average arch you shouldn't hesitate to buy these. (My sister-in-law has an average arch; and as I said, she won't buy any other brand for everyday/hiking sandals.) Also, if you are between sizes, like me, I went with the smaller of the two (again, based on other reviews). I have perhaps 1/4" space between my big toe and the top of the shoe. I said they fit me as expected, but I was expecting a bigger 8.5...I hope that makes sense. You tweens will know what I mean ;0) I bought them in Shitake/Rose, not my first choice, but I'm very pleased. I'm very fair skinned and thought the rose would be too much against my lily white feet. Though the rose is a lot more vibrant than it looked on my computer, the shitake tones it down beautifully and I don't think the color combo will be a problem for me at all. Another happy surprise. If you are dark skinned or can tan easily, I'm sure these will look awesome against your skin tone! Finally, I'm a nurse whose on her feet for 13hrs a day; and my kickin' around shoes HAVE to be comfortable. These are just that and they're cute, too!     • Great shoes for outdoor adventures
This is my first pair of Keens and overall, I have not been disappointed. These shoes are amazing for outdoor adventuring. They are super comfortable, lightweight, and I love being able to slip them on quickly. I wear them in the summer to hike, camp, or splash around in the water. Honestly, I have been impressed with their durability and comfort; I can hike on pretty uneven terrain for miles and my feet feel great. In the winter, I can get away with wearing wool socks under them if it's not too chilly outside. The only thing I was a little disappointed with was the time it takes for them to dry. It seems like they do not dry any faster than typical tennis shoes. I know some people have complained that they start to smell after a while. So far, this has not been a problem with mine. I have given them about 8 months of hard wear, in bare feet, through a pretty warm summer, and mine still smell fine. I can imagine that it would be much easier (and more successful) to wash these than tennis shoes. I typically wear either a 9 or 9.5 in women's shoes, I originally went with the 9, and it was pretty small. The 9.5 fit perfectly. So, if you're in between sizes, I would size up to be safe. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who is looking for a durable outdoor shoe that is light, cool, and easy to slip on and off. ... show more

    • Fit as expected with wiggle room to spare - color: Blue Mirage/Citadel
The shipping was earlier than expected. This Keen Clearwater CNX hiking/walking hybrid sandal is a good fit and true to size for me. I had ordered 2 pairs of the Keen Whisper sandals and had to return because the stretchy piece of the strap over my instep is too snug and no wiggle room. In the summer, my hands and feet are a little swollen due to warmer weather and that would have been uncomfortable. I ordered one of the Whispers in 1/2 size up and the strap on the instep is still snug. Also ordered the Keen Ravine sandal and that is a bit clunky and the velcro strap in the back of the heels is uncomfortable. Finally decided to order the Clearwater CNX and they fit comfortably. I cannot wait to use them for my next trip to Chiang Mai and Erawan Waterfalls/Kanchanaburi, Thailand. I was there last year and did not have the Clearwater, just clunky sports sandal with the less expensive brand. The Clearwater is not clunky looking at all and does not feel like it when on. Glad I found something that will work. The color is more of a slate blue and nice-looking, more blue than gray but nice. It looks like you can wear them around town also. ... show more
