I watched a lot of review videos to decide what kind of beach canopy to get. Based on price and performance, this is what I ended up with. I had seen enough videos to know to overfill the sand bags and stretch it out farther than you think, and then stick the poles under it. It worked perfectly the first try. Our first day on the beach there was no wind the first couple hours. The single pole canopies that rely on the wind fell over on either side of us. When the wind picked up, I played with the angle of the poles and how close to the edge to the edge I put the poles. It was working fine, I just wanted to play and learn the effects of moving it around. Day 2 I set it up all by myself in 5 to 10 minutes. Setup time is all based on how fast you can scoop sand in to the bags. I was very pleased with this tent and glad I saved the money over the way more expensive, wind reliant option. ... show more

First thing I want to mention is that the packaging is perfect, not an oversized box that makes you pay excessive shipping. Materials look high quality and you can't tell how big this canopy is by just looking at the small tote it comes in. I decided that before writing a review, I wanted to test this canopy on a real beach day, so I had to wait 2 full months until summer was on full blast. This is a very nice and resistant beach canopy. We had a windy day, it held up great. It was easy and fast setup, a nice surprise how tall and sturdy it is. We stretched and buried the bags as recommended. PS: You can set this canopy with no help, it can be done by just one person, just fill the bags with enough sand and then put as many poles as you like, for one person, 2 poles would be enough, but if you prefer a bigger shade, go for 4 poles. I bought this for the beach and took it everyday we were there. It’s easy to set up and break down even by yourself. Just make sure to overfill the bags with sand. I found I got a lot more shade from using 2 poles. It holds extremely well in the wind. Although I never experienced any rain I think it might weigh the canopy down. The material is very similar to the Columbia PFG shirts. They do wick water well but are initially weighed down by it. Other than that it worked better than I imagined. I haven't had this tent for very long so I probably am not going to be the most useful for reviews, but I will say one thing make sure you don't buy this thing just for the frisbee. Their marketing gimmicks worked on me I actually learned toward this tent because the other very similar tents didn't offer the freebie. It is super small and really flimsy and will not work at all for its intended purpose. I just hope that the actual tent is better than the frisbee. We’ve always struggled with umbrellas at the beach in moderate winds. This is the perfect solution. It is very sturdy in the wind. After reading complaints about the frisbee breaking, we used a heavy plastic cup to scoop the sand with, which also fits easily in a beach bag and isn’t really breakable. We’re very happy with this product and highly recommend it. I wish the storage bag was slightly bigger as we struggle getting everything to fit. But eventually we’re able to. And I suggest everyone should get the poles out before leaving home and take all the plastic off of them as it’s time-consuming at the beach. Plus then you have to find a trash container to dispose of them. ... show more
