I don’t normally write reviews, but I’m really happy about this product. We had our kitchen and living room redone last year, including the floors. Unfortunately, a lot of edge chipping occurred out of nowhere. The installer promised to fix things, but never did. A few months ago, we got a medium sized goldendoodle puppy, and that made the floors a lot worse. Lots of deep scratches and wood chipping. I figured I’d give this product a try. Our floors were in really bad condition for being not even 2 years old. At first, I tried the crayons, but they didn’t really do very well. Then tried the colored wood filler. The included colors weren’t a good match because I had a dark walnut color wood, but what worked was mixing the black and mahogany colors together, which made a very acceptable match. This stuff dries quite fast, and I found the best way to work with the wood paint is to apply it with a brush and then use a damp paper towel to lightly remove the excess paint after about 20-30 seconds. This is enough time for the paint to bond with the chipped wood and also have the excess wiped off. It was a bit of a learning experience, so I tried on a few easy spots to start off and worked my way up to the more challenging pieces. It was easy after the first 30 minutes. I am an Amazon addict. If I wrote a review for every product I bought I would have time for nothing else. So an item has to be exceptionally great or exceptionally awful for me to take the time to review. Thankfully, this product falls into the first catagory. Wow!! If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I would not have believed how well this kit works. My husband was ready to ditch a very expensive desk set because of significant scratches throughout. I loved the set and couldn't find a replacement that I liked as much (that we could afford). After reading the reviews I thought I had nothing to lose to give it try. It took some experimenting with colors to get just what I needed and now it looks amazing! Like new. I was so thrilled with the kit that I went through my house and covered every imperfection on every piece of furniture. I just wish it could make face wrinkles go away. ... show more

We had a lot of damage on our cross country move this summer. The loaders were terrible. Most of our furniture was less than 4 years old and we didn’t want to buy replacements. I found this kit doing an online search and it has saved our furniture. I custom mixed some touch up and used the wax crayons for other repairs. This kit gives you so many options for repair. Try one method and if it doesn’t work, wipe it off before it dries and try something else. This has grey in it which many repair kits do not have. ... show more

Takes some patience and some finding your inner artist but I’m pretty pleased with the results I had a pretty nice sized hole in my floor that had been bothering me for years, if you didn’t get close to the ground you can’t even see it after I fixed it. Extremely easy to use and made a huge difference. I dropped a pot on my wood floors which caused the scratch that you see on one of the pictures I use this kit and honestly you can’t even tell that there was something wrong with the floors. I don’t write reviews often, but I had to for this product because I looked for reviews of people with my problem. I spilled oil based room aroma on my tinted piece of furniture. Disaster! Look at how it ate the tint. I LOVE this piece of furniture. It is a dark brown. I ordered the kit and mixed the darkest brown with a dab of black and look at the amazing result. I am over the moon.     • Color is different from its cap.
I am looking for a gray color, and the cap color is preferred. However, the real color is much darker, so I cannot use. It is better to display its actual color in the description photo.

I AM NOT artistic in any way. I was very skeptical that I'd be able to repair our coffee table and this antique dresser using basically wood paint. Especially because wood has a variety of color veins in the grain. I gave it a shot and I think these turned out pretty good! This kit saved me a bunch of money.
