Perfect addition to my photography set ups. There were of course some wrinkles in the sheet when it arrived but that is to be understandable. However when I tried steaming out the wrinkles, if the steamer got too close to the sheet it created an odd small damaging result on the sheet. Nothing that caused severe damage or discoloration or in a large area. Now I don’t know exactly much about fabric backdrops or of it was my steamer/iron (combo of the two). So when going to steam out the wrinkles just start in a small area like I did and just see first how it goes. Quality is good and I can see this lasting for many years to come. Will update review when I go to wash it should there be any changes. And despite my issue with steaming the sheet the small area affected it’s barley noticeable! ... show more

These backdrops are awesome!! GREAT quality. Putting them in the dryer gets rid of MOST of the wrinkles. This white one is tricky because any little wrinkle tends to show up, so it's more important to make sure this one is wrinkle-free than the backdrops with patterns. I'm so happy I got these. If I ever need to buy more backdrops, I would only get Kate's. Most white backdrops are see-through, but this one is not at all!!! ... show more

This backdrop worked really well for headshots I took for a client. I steamed it twice until I was satisfied with not having any visible wrinkles. It has almost like a velvety finish on the front, in white you can't really see the texture of the fabric but when I purchased the green one from the listing I did NOT like how you could see steam marks and it looked shiny and different tones because of the velvet like texture. So I returned the green one and did the Neewer brand green backdrop but for the white backdrop this one worked great. Aside from steaming it I also used some elastic clips that velcro around the backdrop stand that way it stretched it out and made it look very smooth. I used 2 strobe lights on the sides, 1 ring light in front and a continuous light behind the backdrop for illumination. In the photos the one of my client is after editing and the one of my dog is straight out of camera, no editing (you can tell at the bottom of the backdrop I didn't steam it all the way to the floor so the wrinkles were noticible at the bottom of the backdrop) ... show more

Kate backdrop's makes the PERFECT & the most affordable fabric backdrops on the market. They are fabulous backdrops & each backdrop comes with a pocket sleave at the top; so you can easily slide the backdrop rod inside the pocket to hang it. You can also use the painter's blue tape or simply tack the backdrop to a wall; if you don't have a backdrop stand or not enough adequate space for a stand. These cloth backdrops arrive with little to no wrinkles & become 100% wrinkle free, after you toss them in the dryer along with a damp/wet towel & dry for 5-10 minutes on medium heat. You can also use backdrop clamps or tape to pull the backdrop back tighter, when hanging it. Kate's backdrops are wonderful & photograph beautifully ! ❤ ... show more

The Backdrop is worth the money, it’s thick enough so that it’s not see through, it was a little wrinkled (nothing a steamer can’t fix) I will be returning though, the backdrop I received has a hole in it that I can not hide.

Other reviewers weren’t kidding when they said wrinkles were impossible to get out. I left it hanging for several days, used Downey wrinkle releaser spray, and tried steam, but all efforts failed to get rid of the wrinkles. I even tried to use an iron (which I DO NOT RECOMMEND) as you will burn a mark almost immediately. It’s a shame because you can tell this is a high quality material that even comes with a opening at the top to put a curtain rod through it to hold it up. The price point would also be great if it wasn’t for the wrinkles that make it pretty much unusable. ... show more

    • Not wrinkle free just less wrinkles

The fabric came with fold marks which isn't too unexpected but washing and drying, even re-drying with a special steam wrinkle remover feature on my dryer didn't completely get rid of wrinkles. I will need to iron the fabric before using it. Fortunately my photo shoot was postponed by the model. The slightly fuzzy side has a nice matte effect so it should work well once the wrinkles are removed. ... show more
