The material does wrinkle, but with my lighting set up, the wrinkles were almost non-existent in the photos (the photos I uploaded were straight out of the package). I did darken the black up a tiny bit in post processing, but nothing significant. My lighting set up was simply a hot shoe speedlight (Godox 860vii), and a pocket flash (Godox AD200). I also just washed and dried the backdrop on gentle cycle and used the wrinkle setting on my dryer. That got most of the wrinkles out, and if I thought I needed to, I could iron it or use the steamer. I love having material that can be washed and dried! Overall, this is a great quality solid backdrop at a great price. No complaints here! ... show more

It’s not as see through as some are making it seem. It’s lacking in color so of course it’ll seem a bit see through. Especially if there’s a lot of color directly behind it. There’s even a large, framed photo on the wall behind the backdrop. I’ve ordered backdrops from this brand before and have been greatly satisfied each time. They’re easy to wash and clean and get rid of wrinkles. In the given photo I was in the process of steaming it to get rid of the wrinkles and creases and it’s not even difficult. Great opaque background! I also like the weight of it, and the top is sewn so you don't have to clip it up - instead it slides onto the bar of your stand so it's always up and you can clip other backgrounds over top of it!

This is a Great Product! I’m so happy I found it. I use for online reselling photographs and it’s perfect. The fabric is not sheer and is super easy to hang in walls with thumbtacks or a professional stand. I found that if you tack to a wall you get the exact perfect fabric taughtness so any wrinkles in the fabric do not show in pictures. The pic I posted does not reflect the best one since I learned about pulling it taught. And even it is pretty good - no filters added or shadows removed. I love Kate’s backgrounds and they are a great value and perfect if you want a variety and are on a budget. However, the white got dirty super quick from a single maternity session- if your body is not laying on it this may help, as we had a lot of foot traffic from her son and husband which I am sure did not help even though barefoot. I personally don’t want to deal with the hassle so I’m just going to toss it considering it wasn’t expensive. The majority of the wrinkles came out after streaming and the rest I fixed in post-processing. I will definitely continue to purchase their products. ... show more

I’m a photographer who has been shooting pictures for quite a while and I decided to give it a try to studio type of photoshoots. I decided to order this product because in the pictures the backdrop didn’t had any wrinkles and I liked the color but when I got the product it was unbelievable wrinkled, I spend hours with a steamer trying to remove the wrinkles but it was impossible. To achieve the results in the pictures listed you need good lighting and a background that is very smooth not wrinkled. This product could be for someone who is just starting but for a high budget photoshoot or product photoshoot this product is not the best. You are getting what you are paying for. My suggestion for the seller is don’t pack the product in such a small bag, the side of a large book and try to not fold it that many times. Also for photographers you should get paper backdrops, the quality is way better yes transportation might be an issue but is better to produce a high quality picture than a picture with a wrinkled backdrop. I used my canon R3 to see how would it look in camera and I was not happy with the results at all ... show more

Great look and feel. Wrinkles from shipping came out by just hanging it for a day or 2 and misting it with some water. I do with I had gotten the bigger one but this does well by itself. I will likely order the longer one as well.
