  • Saved me during crash
I bought this helmet few weeks ago. Fits nicely, no wind noise. I had a nasty crash, fractured my collarbone & hit me head pretty hard on the pavement but helmet protected me really well, didn't feel a thing, didn't lose consciousness. In fact barely noticed the contact with pavement. Will buy another before I ride again ... show more

  • How do those holes protect from twigs and debris, etc?

  • Saved my head
Took a spill yesterday. Not bad, but worst part was landing on my head. Was a very strong hit. I got up with not even so much as a minor concussion. There is NO doubt that if I hadn't had the helmet on, I would have left in an ambulance. I was very impressed! The helmet is compromised so I need a new one, but my head is fine. I'll buy another Kask. Looked at the newer Valegro locally --it is so light it's insane, and has same safety tech -- but if I can't get it in the color I want, I'll happily buy another Protone. Also, when I first tried on the Protone 2 -3 yrs ago, I couldn't believe how comfortable it was. Bought it immediately and have never been unhappy with it. ... show more
