    • Disappointed - no strap to hook the watch band included!

While this "smart" watch does everything it says it can do, has an easy, kid-friendly, menu and intuitive navigation along with accessible planning, organizing, educational, and playtime functions, the watch is essentially useless! It didnt come with a watch band strap that is very much needed to actually secure the watch to a person's wrist! They also don't come with a lanyard where the band can be removed, hooked to the lanyard, and placed around the neck so the child can wear it as a "necklace" instead of on their wrist. Could I rig or make my own band strap to attach? Yes. Can I replace the watch band with a band that has the proper security features? Yep, I can do that, too... I could do either of those things, but I shouldnt have to do so when purchasing a brand new product at this price point. I dont feel that the watch is a value purchase either, even if the strap had been included. Unfortunately because our watch didnt come with the much needed strap to secure the watch to our granddaughter's wrist, this product has been wasted on us and now sits in my desk drawer where I will eventually decide what to do with it. My granddaughter quickly lost interest in this watch since she wasnt able to attach it to her wrist or neck, so I guess we will see if her interest peaks once I fix it. The graphics are colorful and bold, the sounds are crisp and clear and this concept was a great idea if it had been executed properly. Additionally, the little pink plastic band that comes with the watch makes the watch look cheap and tacky. Even with the proper security strap, the quality of the band is so sufficiently low that it undoubtedly wont last very long and likely will eventually result in the loss of the entire watch. While this may not be important to some kiddos, it is something that is important to my granddaughter and myself. ... show more

Maybe I'm kidding about that headline, but seriously, does your Apple Watch have a selfie camera? It's kinda low resolution, but for a kid, who cares? They love it! The screen size is actually huge, like 45mm huge. It looks pretty big on my 4 year-olds wrist, but the strap is very long and can accommodate shorter wrist sizes with ease. The watch itself needed to be charged out of the box with USB-C, but the battery life stayed pretty consistently over 6 hours, which is long enough for any kid to play with during an out of town experience. The watch software wasn't the fastest, but still responsive to the touch. There is also a built-in flashlight on the side of it which is very cool. The games included on the smartwatch are pretty basic but enough to entertain the kid with the fact that they're playing a game on their wrist. Overall, the KALINCO Kids Smart Watch is an amazing value for how much features in packs into it's small body. If it had Bluetooth capability for phone notifications delivered to your wrist, with some polish it could definitely be a great smartwatch for Adults as well! ... show more
