Okay guys...hear me out... If you're thinking to yourself, "Hmm, this is kind of a neat idea, but do I really need this? Does my dog really NEED this?", the answer is YES, YES, YES!!!!! I was looking for a booster kinda seat for our morkie, Tater, and I stumbled upon this during Prime Days and the large size was the one marked down, and interestingly enough was cheaper than the small size. I was a little concerned about the size of it because our dog is only about 12 pounds and the seat is large enough for at least 2 of him. But, I CANNOT pass up a good deal. We were looking for something that wouldn't lose it's shape - CHECK, something that didn't have a bunch of sherpa crap on it because we live in TX and I think we all know it's hotter than hell here most of the year - CHECK, something that would raise him up enough he could see out the window - CHECK, and something that was cute and safe (preferably with a harness lead) - CHECK!!! I couldn't believe how impressed I was with this carseat and how easily he would take to sitting in it. Now, I will say, that our dog Tater is an extraordinary dog!! No, I'm not biased at all (LOL), but this dog has a backpack that he will most excitedly go jump into on his own if he thinks he's going to get to go bye bye! And that required nearly ZERO training on our part. So he took to the carseat very easily. I love that this car seat has an area for the seatbelt pass-through just like a child's car seat. This carseat has a removable cover for cleaning, which was also important to us. We have this carseat installed in my Mercedes C300 4Matic. We have it in the back seat, and with this one being the large size, it does take up an entire seat, and maybe a tiny bit extra...but that's okay with me and with Tater!!! Tater loves this seat, he gladly jumps out of his backpack and into his seat when we're ready to go somewhere so we can just set the backpack to the side for when we've arrived at our destination. I would recommend this to ANYONE with a dog they travel with often. This seat may be pricier than a lot of others on here, but I can ASSURE you, it's worth EVERY penny!!! ... show more

My dog would cry and generally be very anxious in the car before I got this. I wanted to get like a bucket seat so she felt more secure because it seemed like her biggest problem was being jostled around when stopping or accelerating, or going through turns. Once I got her settled in this seat and clipped in, it was like night and day!! She loves going in the car now and jumps in it as soon as I open the door. The seat stays rigidly in place and she barely moves. A couple times when I've needed to make a hard stop, she stayed firmly in the seat and her anxiety never spiked. This is a higher priced car seat but it's worth the money. It's a good shape and size, it's sturdy, it looks cute in the car, and best of all Princess likes it. She took right to it. She is a 10 lb Chihuahua and she has plenty of room in the small. I don't use the safety straps but I feel like I'm a better driver knowing Princess isn't gonna stray from her seat anymore. ... show more

I was not sure if the smaller size would fit a dog over 20 pounds. YES it does, our 11 month 23 pound French Bulldog fit at 20 pounds when we ordered and will still fit comfortably at full size of 28 pounds. The seat is sturdy, holds its shape, firm yet comfortable and does not flop over. It is easy to wash and is still in great shape, very high quality. The seat is up high enough so my dog can see through the window, he loves it and is happier in it than his old baby booster. The small one only takes up 1 seat, it fits in the middle back seat and allows for 2 other passengers. The bigger one is probably better for a long road trip and to lay in it. ... show more

I almost got in a car accident, I had to slam very hard on the brakes and my dog went forward, smacked his head on the seat in front of him and fell to the ground, the buckle/ leash that is attached to the car seat left him hanging on the ground and dangling by it. Thankfully I was able to run to the backseat and unclip him from it. If we were to have gotten in an accident i’m afraid my dog would have been strangled by the car seat buckle that was hanging on him.
