Description

The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their fathers death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justins patented J-Flex Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the .Standard Of The West Since 1879..

  • Fit was Good, Price was Right, AWESOME BOOT!!!!
Size: 10.5 D US Color: Black Oiled Composition Toe
I went to a local shoe / boot store to try on a pair of these boots to make sure I had the size right. I prefer to buy things locally if I can help it, but this store did not carry any other color other than the brown / green combo and I wanted black. I ordered the 10.5 and found the fit to be perfect. When coupled with a good pair of boot socks, the fit was absolutely perfect. The square toe gives my toes room without any bunching them together and the top of the foot area is snug enough to make the boot feel good, but not overly restrictive. The shaft of the boot does not fall down, but was quite irritating against my legs until I purchased some boot socks. This is by no means a fault of the boot. I wore these to work (office job behind a desk) for 11+ hours and never did they hurt or I feel a need to take them off. Today, I wore them to cut a 25-30 foot tree out of my front yard and again, they were comfortable and I appreciated having the composite toe in the even that a branch "went" the wrong way. The boot seems well made, sturdy, and so far, has taken every lick I have thrown at them. Of course they are only a week or two old, but have already broken in nicely and are my "go to" boot for just about anything. I am planning to buy another pair in brown next chance I get. UPDATE: 10-25-15 So I have had these boots for a few months and thought I would give an update. A few months ago, we had a customer come to our offices and I ended up spending the day walking around with the customer. We went over concrete, gravel, and grass areas. After being on my feet all day, my feet hurt, but the boots held up fine. I normally work in an office (desk, nice, chair, etc.) so I guess I have become a sort of softy in regards to being on feet for extended periods of time. With some gel insoles or something of that nature, I believe these boots would have given me all day comfort. This evening, we had the remnants of Hurricane Patricia (we're in Southeast Louisiana) and my folding awning blew into the back yard. I donned a rainsuit and these boots. Trying to get the awning to collapse had be standing in 4-6 inches of water and these boots held up fabulously! I was in the water for about 10-15 minutes, and my feet never got wet. I would imagine that after an extended period of time, the leather would have given way to the water, but for the quick fix, they worked perfectly. ... show more

  • O.U.T.S.T.A.N.D.I.N.G
Size: 8 Color: Black Oiled Composition Toe
I don't usually go to the extend to write a full review. But these boots deserve it. So, here is my experience: after 1.5 years and an average of 7 miles a day the boots are going strong. I am probably underestimating by saying 7 miles a day. I wear these boots at work, when going out, on weekends, for exercise walking (seriously), and I have hiked 12 miles plus at a time in them, multiple times. They are THAT comfortable. My Frye boots aside, these are the most comfortable boots I have ever put my feet in. The Frye are $400 and feather like, as they should be, but the won't hold up to the use I have put these Justins to. Today, after 1.5 years of daily use, and sometimes abuse, I stood and walked in well past ankle high water for about 1 min, on a flooded street. I am not lying when I say my socks did not get wet at all. This really blew my mind, after 1.5 years of so much use, still water proof. Needless to say, I just brought another pair today, because I like them so much, they are so comfortable, and they look so good that I will keep wearing the old pair at work and outdoor activities, and wear the new ones for casual use and dressing. These look so good with a casual look: jeans and dress jacket, or a leather jacket. I will NOT say you should wear these with a suit. That's where you should get some proper dress shoes 😀 Bar none, these are outstanding, I only oiled them twice within the first 6 months of owning them, and since then I neglected them, but they keep going strong, though with plenty scaff marks nowadays. I foresee at some point the soles will wear out with my rate of use. As stated, I had to get 1 size smaller since they run very large. ... show more

  • Good Boot for the Price!
If you are looking for a high quality work boot that lasts then this is for you! I bought this boot back in September 2016 because I wanted work boot that would hold up in conditions I tend to work in. I bought Justin boots before, so I figured I would give this pair a try. I have worn these in cornfields, shops, and across campus and still no real big problems. After nearly a year of wearing them, I’ve found a couple pros and cons that I like and dislike. Pros: 1. They feel comfortable to wear across long distances. 2. They have just started fading a little, even after being in direct sunlight. 3. Feet don’t get cold in the cold Iowa winter. Cons: 1. They are a bit heavy when walking. 2. Size is a bit bigger than I like. Overall I am very happy with these boots, and would definitely buy again. I would recommend to looking into a size smaller than you usually buy. Otherwise, these boots are durable and they seem to allow your feet to breathe a little while wearing them. If you want even more support with these books, I would look into getting some insoles for them too. I haven’t water tested them because I plain don’t want to, but when I have worn them in the rain they have held up well. If you are looking for a decent pair of boots that will last, and are relatively cheap then get these! ... show more
