The only reason I gave this product 4 stars is because it worked good for me. My beard was soft, the itching went away, and my skin felt good. Other than that the scent was almost non existent and there was very little product for the price.

For a shampoo, this product was a very runny liquid (as opposed to being more of a thick cream like most shampoos). It lathered up ok, but not great. Also, while the version I bought was supposed to be unscented, it did have a slightly off-putting smell to it (but it didn't last). I'm a relatively recent convert to using beard shampoo, conditioner, and oil. I'm still not convinced that the conditioner or oil is really doing all that much for my beard, but I'm using them. I tried this out; it was a good price. I didn't think I'd mind the Oatmeal scent, but over time, it has become more and more unpleasant to me; I really enjoy the Sandalwood scent, and this scent has become off-putting. I'll be glad when it is used up. If they have other scents, I may try the brand again. This says it can be used every other day, and I'm more-or-less following it; I used it Sun, Tue, Wed, and Fri. I also use beard oil after getting out of the shower. So, as I write this, it's a Wed before showing, and my beard feels dry and scratchy, and I used this and beard oil less than 24 hours ago. ... show more

I stumbled on this product because I use and like the just for men hair and beard coloring products and when I found this very reasonably priced (if not cheap compared to others) and discovered it works as advertised - but bonus - it is totally scentless, this is the product I use from now on.
