I purchased the basic set with the case, front cover, kickstand, and silicone strap. I haven't used the kickstand or silicone strap much, but they feel like they are good quality. The case is great. It fits well, good cutouts, and has a good amount of grip. I like that the volume and power buttons are not recessed so they can be pressed easily. I have used the front cover quite a few times when traveling. Pros: Protects, adds grip and ergonomics, is thinner and more compact for travel, affordable, well built, can add accessories to the case, not too heavy, face cover is easy to take on and off and stays on securely, has a kickstand that works well and looks to have been recently upgraded and improved over the old metal one that some said didn’t work well, comes with a battery strap that works well. I'm mad I didn't look sooner. The wrap around case itself adds a lot of security in the grip of the steam deck without being super intrusive. It's a very firm soft plastic, I think. The texture on the grips is great. Overall, the case doesn't inhibit anything about the deck. The ports and vents are unobstructed. The power and volume buttons are covered but maintain their tactile feedback. The kickstand feels strong enough. Time will tell. The cover fits snugly. It requires some force to take off, but then you can rest assured it won't come off in a bag. There is padding against the screen as well. Only slight negatives. It does require a bit of effort to install and remove the body. Put the bottom in first and out last so that you're working it on and off from the top. Just be careful of the triggers and shoulder buttons. Also, the rear buttons are shielded, which is good for protection. But with my big hands, it's slightly harder to get at them. But I honestly think I'll just get used it fast work that none of this is worth a star. It's products like this that make me thankful for Amazon. ... show more

Update: Decided to try again and got a sealed box this time. This one is made of a much sturdier set of materials and everything just fits so much better; the stand also feels secure on this one and it feels like actual metal this time. Still smells like menthols though but much less so must be some additive in the plastic that reacts to moisture. Only problem I can think of is the little watch band on the back because it is flimsy and hard to fit the loop into the hole to secure the band. If you can get a new one I highly recommend it! —- This time the box was crushed and scuffed, and it seems someone at amazon tried to push it back to shape before sending it off again as “new.” I knew just from the outside it was used and sure enough the seal was already torn open. Whoever did this didn’t even attempt to cover up the smell of menthol cigarettes on the item itself. At least all the things were in their internal bags, which is very rare for these amazon “new sold as used” products I have been getting far too often for the past 6 months. I don’t particularly like the idea of being reminded of a liquor store in a bad part of town whenever I play video games, so I implore someone at amazon to at least clean their used products before charging new prices for them again. As for the shell itself, it’s very soft and thin rubber with a flimsy plastic backing that doesn’t even sit flush on the steam deck. The plastic backing is not able to stay rigid and flexes easily, the rubber is molded nicely with a good texture but it’s hard to figure out what purpose it serves. The stand is strangely lower quality than I was even expecting from pictures, it’s basically die cast metal hooked to very thin plastic, and you can’t use it with any of the accessories marketed with the case (apparently you have to take it off just to use a dock. The stand also can only be use at one angle because it is so far up the case, but will not handle you pressing down on it. I want to say the thickest material on the case is maybe 3 millimeters and that is being generous. Most of it is thinner, and each material is noticeably cheap and low quality. Lol. I can’t imagine this case would protect from anything besides scratches, but it does look nice just as long as you don’t look too close. I am amused the little “mod” hook on the back is an opening to see the valve logo though. ... show more

Honestly, I had considered buying the dbrand's Killswitch case before I had bought this and I am so glad I didn't buy it. This case has been very comfortable and even came with accessories, both of which are actually pretty useful. One of them is just a simple stand which clips on to the back of the case, so if you plan on using it for 2 Player games or just single player with a separate controller it's nice to play with it's stand on a table. As of the the other, it's basically a strap which attaches to the middle-back you can wrap a small power bank, or an external ssd like I did to boot Windows. Pros: - Cheap - Well Made - Comes with Useful Accessories - Has an Included Cover for both the Steam Deck and the Dock - Has an open port to charge while cover is on Cons: - Sides aren't as grippy for the hand - The cover doesn't completely cover the triggers Overall: GET THIS OVER THE DBRAND KILLSWITCH AND SAVE THE MONEY!!! ... show more
