I was not sure about this product but am very happy I got it. The travel protection is fine, maybe not as good as its zippered case but it’s a lot more compact and portable and easier to access the console. The stand is an unexpected pleasant surprise, it works well. The very best part about this is the grip it gives you on the deck. It’s now a pleasure to hold, it has a wonderful tactile feel and I’d use it just for the grip and feel even if it offered no drop protection, which it surely does.     • By far the best case for traveling with your steam deck.

Traveling with the steam deck is difficult since it’s a large handheld, so options are quite limited for a case that keeps it as slim as possible. Enter this case from Jsaux. The case itself has a really nice feel to it and the plastic cover makes it so easy to throw the deck in a backpack to carry with you anywhere from air travel to just daily carry. My steam deck goes with me so many more places now since I feel it’s safe in this rigid case in my backpack. I don’t need to lug around an entire separate bag dedicated to the deck now. The case is quite sturdy. I do foresee the kickstand weakening over time and eventually forgoing the use of it due to this, but as of now the kickstand is a really nice addition. I do also really like the power bank strap. Makes it very easy to keep everything nice and neat while playing games away from an outlet when you’re low on battery. The price compared to the dbrand case is outstanding and the quality is on par with it. ... show more

This case is much more affordable than some others, but it isn’t lacking in quality. The case fits on perfectly, easy to install but no loose spots. The grips feel great and it doesn’t feel super bulky. The cover is easy to put on and take off, all button spots and charging ports line up perfectly.

Pros: Protects, adds grip and ergonomics, is thinner and more compact for travel, affordable, well built, can add accessories to the case, not too heavy, face cover is easy to take on and off and stays on securely, has a kickstand that works well and looks to have been recently upgraded and improved over the old metal one that some said didn’t work well, comes with a battery strap that works well. Lots to like. Cons: Adds a little more weight, the face cover has to be stored somewhere when not in use. Not really much to complain about and the cons are kinda obvious expected. ... show more

    • Pretty good if you can get a new one.

Update: Decided to try again and got a sealed box this time. This one is made of a much sturdier set of materials and everything just fits so much better; the stand also feels secure on this one and it feels like actual metal this time. Still smells like menthols though but much less so must be some additive in the plastic that reacts to moisture. Only problem I can think of is the little watch band on the back because it is flimsy and hard to fit the loop into the hole to secure the band. If you can get a new one I highly recommend it! —- This time the box was crushed and scuffed, and it seems someone at amazon tried to push it back to shape before sending it off again as “new.” I knew just from the outside it was used and sure enough the seal was already torn open. Whoever did this didn’t even attempt to cover up the smell of menthol cigarettes on the item itself. At least all the things were in their internal bags, which is very rare for these amazon “new sold as used” products I have been getting far too often for the past 6 months. I don’t particularly like the idea of being reminded of a liquor store in a bad part of town whenever I play video games, so I implore someone at amazon to at least clean their used products before charging new prices for them again. As for the shell itself, it’s very soft and thin rubber with a flimsy plastic backing that doesn’t even sit flush on the steam deck. The plastic backing is not able to stay rigid and flexes easily, the rubber is molded nicely with a good texture but it’s hard to figure out what purpose it serves. The stand is strangely lower quality than I was even expecting from pictures, it’s basically die cast metal hooked to very thin plastic, and you can’t use it with any of the accessories marketed with the case (apparently you have to take it off just to use a dock. The stand also can only be use at one angle because it is so far up the case, but will not handle you pressing down on it. I want to say the thickest material on the case is maybe 3 millimeters and that is being generous. Most of it is thinner, and each material is noticeably cheap and low quality. Lol. I can’t imagine this case would protect from anything besides scratches, but it does look nice just as long as you don’t look too close. I am amused the little “mod” hook on the back is an opening to see the valve logo though. ... show more

Honestly, I had considered buying the dbrand's Killswitch case before I had bought this and I am so glad I didn't buy it. This case has been very comfortable and even came with accessories, both of which are actually pretty useful. One of them is just a simple stand which clips on to the back of the case, so if you plan on using it for 2 Player games or just single player with a separate controller it's nice to play with it's stand on a table. As of the the other, it's basically a strap which attaches to the middle-back you can wrap a small power bank, or an external ssd like I did to boot Windows. Pros: - Cheap - Well Made - Comes with Useful Accessories - Has an Included Cover for both the Steam Deck and the Dock - Has an open port to charge while cover is on Cons: - Sides aren't as grippy for the hand - The cover doesn't completely cover the triggers Overall: GET THIS OVER THE DBRAND KILLSWITCH AND SAVE THE MONEY!!! ... show more
