This product for me stands out from the rest of its competitors for its quality features (although it could use one minor improvement, more on that later). Light-weight superb sin deflection material. Plus a windshield breaker at the end of handle (stand out feature). And a velvet-like microfiber bag cover (quality allure). One suggestion I would offer is to have a slight cut with velcro band of something better on top center to accommodate rear view mirrors that most users have to contend with. ... show more

It does a decent job of keeping my car cool. However, after only three weeks of use, the handle broke off the stem. Also, the heel end will scratch your metal dash. I'm returning mine for a refund. Follow up on my review: I repaired mine by replacing the two little screws with some slightly larger ones. But then the internal cylinder was in the way so I removed it and discarded it. I then wrapped the jeweled end with duck tape do it wouldn’t scratch my dash. So far works fine. I’d suggest buying a slightly larger unit to ensure adequate coverage. ... show more

I needed a sun shield for my car and decided to try this design. I’ve had the type that fan fold and these are easy to install, block the sun well, but take up a lot of space when not in use. I also had the type with the metal wire that twist and fold easily to a package that fits between the seat and center console - these do a decent job of blocking the sun but never seem to stay in place well. Then there is this style. It folds up to the size of a compact umbrella, stays in place really well, and does a good job to block the sun. The downside is that it is difficult to install. You need to work it around the rear view mirror and ensure it is perfectly centered as it doesn’t slide at all once in place. Like an umbrella there are a lot of moving parts, so jury is still out on durability and longevity. Overall, I recommend giving this a shot to help keep the interior of your car cool during the hot summer months. ... show more
