Works like a charm, not much to really complain about. This type of charger is ideal for people who commonly play local multiplayer with friends or family, but also useful if you want to charge your joycons while the Switch is in sleep mode (finding out recently that the charging on joycons actually stops when the system is put in sleep). The only thing I think I could gripe about is the fact that you have green lights immediately after you plug in the device. The problem with this is that the green lights are supposed to indicate that a joycon is at full battery, red meaning that it is still charging. The problem with it showing a green light when a joycon isn't even plugged in is because if the connectors on one of those chargers are defective, you won't be able to tell that when you plug in a joycon that's already at full battery or just not registering on the charger. When there's no change in the light when you plug in a joycon, this leads to concerns of a possible defective charging port on the charger or a defective joycon, which could be that the joycon is just at full battery or it's not getting properly seated on the charger, leading to returns/refunds that may not be necessary. ... show more

I just received this charger yesterday, so I can’t give a long term use review. However, so far I think it’s great. The joy-cons are easy to attach, the red light shows it’s charging and it turns green when it’s finished, so there’s no guessing or taking them off to check. Also, it charged them much faster than I’ve previously been able to charge them. I would recommend this product! ... show more

This is a really cool cost-effective solution for charging joycons if you have more than two joycons. It has a USB-A to USB-c cord, so you can plug the device directly to the USB-C charger to the switch or you can use the cord to connect it to the USB port on the docking station or your own power brick. My only gripe is that I wish the green lights were not on constantly - ie they only show red when charging or green when 100% charge and NO LIGHTS when there isn't a joycon connected. This device is a solid option to charge multiple sets of joycons. It has lights to indicate charging status and the joycons slide in and out easily. Charging time is reasonable with 4 joycons slotted, and it let's you know when they are fully charged with an LED My biggest issue with it is the green lights stay on when the joycons are not in or are fully charged, which can disturb your sleep if you keep them in the same room. Would be nic eif they were dimmer or turned off with no joycon slotted. The device is also rather light, so it's relatively easy to push off or knock around and gets bullied by the cable it came with. This is a very efficient way to charge two pairs of controllers! I love the green/red indicators that tell you if the controllers are charged/still charging. They would probably be too bright if used in a bedroom, but are perfect for the living room!
